Today something very intersting happened to me...
I was rather sick yesteday and I took off work. I did not feel any better today but I went to work anyway. I lost an hour of sleep because of daylight savings (What the hell is up with daylight savings? We never used it when we lived in Arizona). After a rather tiresome day of work, one of my bosses sent me home with good wishes. A lot of my coworkers/friends made me feel really good on my way home. That made me forget I was sick and I went home happy.
When I got home, my mom announced that my aunt, uncle and cousin were comming over for dinner. I changed my clothes and started reading a magazine (Anime Insider! Pick yourself up a copy!), untill our guests arived. After everyone got settled in, I decided to retreat from my room and greet everyone. My aunt greated me warmly, but with caution because I was sick.
My father and my uncle were out front on the porch, swaping stories while my aunt and my mom were cooking in the kitchen. They let me have a glass of red wine. I went out back to sit on one of the stumps outside and saw my cousins heading up to my neighbors barn to play with the horses (We have a horse property in our backyard in case you don't remeber) and I watched them run around untill they were out of sight, sipping on the wine my mother gave me. It was late afternoon and the sun was just starting to set, off in the west.
After I finnished my drink, I went and sat on the porch with my uncle and father. Its early spring here. For the first time since the ground started to green, I sat down and took a long, hard look at what was around me. Viewing the scenery, I suddenly felt relaxed, at peace with myself.
I had an epithany. I saw my new home in all of its pure beauty and it filled me with joy and hope. For the first time since I moved here, I was not afraid of this place. I wasnt upset, I wasnt even a little sad.
I finaly felt at home...
Oh, by the way! Some of you may have noticed that I have a Mochi the puppy on my head! His name is "Kyanwan"(Pronounced: Key-yan-wan)! Now, to the first person who can tell me who Kyanwan is named after in thier comment will win 150 gold! Good luck!
And my you find peace where you are!
Untill We Meet Again,
