Contemplations of a knight
So often lost in quiet contemplations, viewing the world through wolven eyes... This is stuff. Just stuff. Stuff fueled by video games, boerdom and hotdogs. Its my personal fanfic/drawing/poetry log now. Like what you see? Leave a comment!~ :3
Amethyst Oroofu, digital mage
"You...!" The mangled creature let out a laugh, using it's stave to push itself to its feet. It looked at the two digimon before it. "You actually believe... that I'm... wizardmon?" It laughed some more then shook its head, cold azure eyes flicking toward them with renewed menace. "A digimon I may be... a wizardmon even, but not that wizardmon, no!" It twirled its staff slowly in front of it, swaying a little on its unbalanced feet. The metal spikes glistened on the small shoulder plate of armor resting upon its cloak. "I am not who you think I am." It laughed again. With a flick of its wrist, it destroyed Kunemon and loaded his data. Gazimon backed away slowly, his eyes widening. The wizardmon's cold eyes turned on him. "Lets play a game." It said softly, tugging at the collar of its cloak, revealing a stitched mouth. "I'll give you ten seconds to run before I come after you. If you make it past those trees over there, I'll persue you no more. Is that alright with you?" The mouth curled into a smile. Gazimon nodded slowly, wondering how he would run in his condition. The wizardmon almost paralyzed him with fear. It closed its eyes and relaxed, sitting heavily on the ground and started counting. Knowing he wouldn't get another shot at freedom, Gazimon got to his feet and scrabbled away as fast as he could. The wizardmon leaned back, then abruptly fell over in the grass. When it opened its eyes again, Gazimon was gone and there was a face looming over it.
"I can't believe you." The dark haired boy said, shaking his head. "You toy with digimon as if they're nothing more than puppets."
"My dear Kazan, they are nothing but scraps of data." The wizardmon replied with a laugh, plucking a stem of grass and chewing on it. "As am I." With a contented sigh, it closed its eyes again.
"That's not the point..." Kazan started, but was cut off as the creature rose to its feet again. It looked over its shoulder at him.
"Don't you have somewhere to be, Kazan?" When the boy didn't reply, it smiled. "I'm only a data speck in this wide world, Kazan. One day I'll find someone strong enough to challenge me, and I won't have to play these childish little games with the digimon any more. Does that make you happy?" When Kazan still didn't reply, the wizardmon sighed. "Well, good luck to you, wherever you fare."
"Wait!" He interrupted suddenly. "Where are you going?"
The wizardmon smiled. "Don't mind me. I'll be drifting." With a smile, it tugged its hat down low to its eyes and strode away.
"Wait!" Kazan called again. "Oryth!!"
"What?" The wizardmon looked over at him again, irritated.
"I guess I'll see you again some time?"
"Most definately." It sighed again and turned away. "Just look for word of Oryth and I'll be there. Farewell, Kazan." Humming softly to itself, the wizardmon walked silently away. "Oryth." It said to itself. "They'll all know of my name some day." With a chuckle, he pointed his staff into the bush and mumbled something under his breath. Before he could even cast a spell, Gazimon leapt out and fled, shrieking through the undergrowth.
"Oryth be my name." It whispered. "Know it well."
