Strengths:
Although Jia may act like a fool, this is all a ploy, Jia's greatest strength is his mind. A great strategist, Jia's mental prowess earns him victory through clever tactics rather then brute strength often causing upsets in seemingly 'one-sided' fights.
Weaknesses:
Jia's greatest weaknesses are the only ones that can inhibit his mind; alcohol and women. Jia cannot and will not raise a hand against a women, leaving him only the option to defend himself against female opponents. His love of alcohol and the rate at which he consumes it can often see him fight drunk or hungover, inhibiting his otherwise genius level intellect.
Personality:
Jia is a lover of fine wine and even finer women; a flirt and a drunk, it is hard to even tell that Jia is actually a genius due to all the tomfoolery he does get himself into. Although this is just a ploy and this 'loveable loser' persona he uses is just a way to keep people from finding out his true identity; Jia is a genius and very fond of the fact of pointing it out too, hating to lose and hating to be outdone often getting him into lots of trouble. This seems to only be against other men though. For to women, he is a kind and an absolute gentlemen. Until drink gets involved. Then he becomes lecherous and somewhat violent. His mentality towards life is that one mst "seize whatever opportunities they can and live everyday to it's fullest because life is short."
Biography:
At first impression, it is hard to tell why Jia is one of Ceole's most wanted men. To most, he just seems like a normal merchant; flamboyant, somewhat greedy, cunning and useless. However, this was not always the story of Jia's life, in fact, it is quite the opposite.
Jia was born in a small shire in Ostley which lay just beyond the boarder with Ceole. The son of a farmer, it was often expected that Jia would take up the family farm and have children of his own to one day inherit it from him; however, Jia was not like the others of this shire whom had come before him. He was actually very different, so much so that he was thought to be blessed by the Gods.
Jia was able to have full conversations by the time he was one years old and able to walk not long after, he was able to solve most adult puzzles by the time he was five and it was starting to become apparent that Jia had been given a gift unlike any other ever seen, the gift of knowledge.
He continued to excel academically, managing to quickly learn different trades and different arts in matters of days. he was truely phenomenal and as he began to grow older, he soon began to use his lessons in a much more selfish manner. He began to use them for self benefit. Easily able to charm and cheat his way through life thanks to his cunning, Jia was easily able to make lots of money through cons and lies able to amass a small fortune through fixing bets by the time he was 16, however, when this started becoming no fun, Jia turned to less selfish causes to amuse himself.
Jia soon began to raise money for his village by conning rich nobles. Acting under the guise of a magician, Jia would get himself invited into wealthy estates and use doppelgangers to amuse his hosts whilst he went and stole things from the house to sell. He also made things vanish before mysteriously vanishing himself, earning the village a huge fortune but also many enemies. It was the growing reputation of the village and one very clever individual that eventually led these enemies to his village's door...
Amounting small personal guard forces, the nobles of Abbert surrounded Jia's village and blockaded supplies, even setting the fields a flame and sewing salt into the soil in order to prevent crops from ever growing from them
again. Jia, enraged turned his mind to a new type of intellectual pursuit: military tactics.
Which he was a natural at.
Gathering together all the able bodied villagers, men and women alike, Jia planned a counter assault against the nobles using the very fields that they had destroyed, in defeating the nobles Jia could make claims for their land and then rebuild the village as he saw fit. It was a perfect plan, Jia flooded the fields making the village into an island, as it usably was during the rainy season or when the floodgate burst. This left only two narrow paths the soldiers could take which Jia could easily defend. However, he wished to take the fight to the nobles and did so very cunningly. He used a rare oil, extracted from the crops of certain fields that was flammable. Pouring this on the water it floated and as the nobles planned to use boats to attack the village, Jia set the oil a flame along with the boats before draining the fields and stranding the guards. The villagers charged, chasing the noble forces from their land and thanks to the flooding of the water, removed most of the salt from the soil and could regrow their crops again. Jia had planned this all along and with a smile, knew his village was safe.
It was at that moment, that the governor's army was coming to intervene in the situation and saw for himself Jia's brilliance. Pleased, he wandered into the village and commissioned the boy's services; which he humbly accepted and went towards Abbert castle to enjoy a lifestyle filled with grandeur as well as drama in the royal court. He served for a few years as a royal advisor and
on his 20th birthday received Inbijibururyū for his outstanding services. Jia's policies made everyone in the shire happy and with the oppressive reign of the Queen, that was hard to come by. It was at that moment the Governor came up with a very brilliant or very stupid idea...
He decided it was time he rebelled against the queen and with Jia by his side, he believed he could win.
The Governor's ambition was fat too great though...
Relying solely on Jia, the Governor conducted his campaign against Ceole. Considering their closeness to the boarder, the Abbert Rebllion seemed to hold out against Ceole's huge army for quite a while. There was even talk that some of the other governors were thinking of joining Abbert in their fight. The light at the end of a very dark tunnel was coming into view and many wanted to reach it. Unfortunately for them, they never would.
After a year of war, Abbert fell and was raised to the ground. Every stone was scorched and every house demolished by cannon fire. In Abbert's dying moments the Governor was said to have exclaimed "If only Jia was here!" and was then put to the sword. Jia, however, survived due to a happy coincidence; one of the other Governors had sent to meet with him about joining their fight and due to him requesting Jia personally to negotiate, Jia had to leave his lord's side in order to attend the meeting. Jia swears that it was all a set up and he fell for the most obvious trick in the book.
With no home and no lord and no love for Ceole, Jia travelled the world under the guise of a merchant, hoping to simply live his life to the full for knowing so many that were cut all too short. Even if he is one of Ceole's most wanted men...

It will not seem lethal at first, however, given time the chime disrupts the workings of the inner ear which controls a person's balance and disorientates the opponent for a short while (One Post per Chime) giving Jia an opportunity to strike.
Weapon Background:
A present from the Governor of Abbert that Jia once served for his 20th birthday, Kia is rarely seen without this weapon even going to the lengths of sleeping with it in order to keep it safe. It was a one of a kind weapon forged for Jia as the Governor knew that Jia preferred to win his battles through thought rather then through fighting. His aim was to win without fighting, however, the Governor thought that he should have a weapon just in case. Inbijibururyū soon became a badge of Jia's office, recognisable to even the most uneducated of person as a weapon of the great Abbert strategist on close inspection.
Jia has been shown many a time to be most capable with it in it's cane form, rarely producing the blade unless necessary. However, one can only imagine how good he could be with the lighter and more deadly sword...

Shibōshasū is made from black mythril making it able to block most physical attacks.
Weapon Background:
Shibōshasū was originally not a weapon but simply a tool that a strategist would use in order to give signals to his army; Jia won it in a bet after falling in love with it at a nobleman's house that he was invited to. After beating the owner at chess, Jia was awarded the fan as promised and told of its great history.
It was once in the hands of the owner's ancestor, a great strategist who greeted death like an old friend and this is how it earned its name; depicted on the fan were six golden coins, the superstitious price of crossing into the after life. A person carrying or wearing these six coins was believed to sail straight on to the afterlife, whilst people who did not were believed to have to undergo six impossible labours in order to earn the coins.
No one is quite sure who made the fan for the great strategist but even Jia confirmed it was made of black mythril, a metal thought to be long lost to over-harvesting thousands of years previous. Jia cannot bear to part from it and it is usually hanging from his belt, another object that identifies him as the infamous Jia of Abbert...
