- Son of Billionaire Tobias William Anthony Sheffield II and heir to his family's company Sheffield Global; Tobi was always going to be destined for great things and his Father always made sure that he would be ready for said great things and more. The boy had a hard childhood thanks to his Father's almost military like parenting whilst his Mother spoiled him to no end. Even though this caused a rift between the two parents on numerous occasions, each one adjusted their parenting style to somewhat benefit the others; Tobi soon learnt that hard work and dedication would earn him rewards whilst failure would prove fruitless. This carried over into a lot of his later life including schooling as young Tobi was sent to some of the finest Educational facilities in the world and excelled there too.
At 10, Tobias was sent to Eton College, where his Father and Grandfather had also went and quickly earned a name for himself. Popular, smart and seemingly perfect; the cult of Tobias seemed to build upon itself year after year as he grew. His fan base grew as he grew. But something happened to Tobias when he was 13 that brought it all crumbling down around him and left both pysical and mental scars all over him.
This event, was the fatal car crash that claimed his Mother's life. After picking Tobias up from school a day early, for Tobias boarded at Eton, Elizabeth Sheffield was going to take her son to the cinema to watch a newly released film; despite her husbands protests. It was on the way to the cinema that Elizabeth's car was hit by a driver on his mobile phone; speeding, the man smashed into the driver's side of the vehicle killing Elizabeth instantly and crumpling the car almost like a can. Tobias was trapped and alone for hours before anyone came to help him in the backseats. The other driver ran once he'd regained his senses and after being pulled out of the wreckage, Tobias displayed traits of claustrophobia after being stuck for so long with the body of his dead Mother.
Not being allowed to grieve properly, Tobias was sent straight back to Eton. His Father distanced himself and without his Mother's warmth, Tobias seemed to also grow somewhat solitary in nature too. His only mission was to make his Mother proud and his Father notice him; things he knew couldn't be done through ordinary teenage rebellion but through outstanding achievement and prowess. He devoted himself to his studies whilst also maintaining his "King of the School" status. Eton had never seen anything like Tobias in their long and esteemed history and they were somewhat unsure with what to do with him. But Tobias did it for himself, he achieved outstanding Grades in all examinations and tests, became a champion fencer and even tried to become apart of the school's student political scene. His Father was proud but in his own grief could never bring himself to admit it.
It wasn't until Tobi's X-Gene manifested itself that his Father began to take an interest in the young man. Aged 17 and in his first year of Sixth Form; Tobi began relationship with one of the young student teachers. This girl also happened to be the Headmaster's daughter. The two would sneak off between periods or at breaks into abandoned areas of the school. It was during one of these rendezvous in a storage cupboard that Tobias first discovered his powers. The two had accidentally locked themselves in the cupboard and Tobias' claustrophobia got the best of him after seeing visions of his dead mother sat bleeding on the floor. Scared, Tobias lashed out and blasted the door off of its hinges using a concentrated photon blast. Both of the lovers were shocked and when the events came to light; Tobias was paid generously to keep the Headmaster's Daughter's discretion a secret. Impressed by both his son's aptitude and power; Tobias' Father met with him and began discussing his future at Sheffield Global...
Tobias soon began to balance his school work with his time at the company and excelling in both he was soon off to Oxford University to study Classics. The classes and workload were easy enough for Tobias, whom had been practically groomed for his position at Sheffield Global and had learnt to juggle things such as social and business obligations. It was almost second nature to him. However, he did not count on another thing that came into his life whilst studying at Oxford. His vigilante escapades started in the University City and would eventually make his alter-ego "Apollo" a national icon.
Whilst walking home from a night out with friends to celebrate the end of the exam season; Tobias came across an arguing couple. He'd been training his powers both with and without his Father's aid; he especially took an interest in the DC comics hero, The Green Lantern and his power over the green light energy of will. Tobias even began training his powers to mimic the Green Lantern's construct format; there was a reason why the Lanterns were called Lanterns were called Lanterns. They used light and Tobias also did. So, when Tobias saw the boyfriend slap the girl across the face, he constructed a fist out of light and smashed the bloke in the jaw. He almost put the man in hospital as he collided with a car windscreen but Tobias' job was done, the girl was safe and he'd experienced a rush like never before.
So started his career as the vigilante: Apollo. Originally called Sunshine by the local media; Tobias stopped bank robberies, muggings and possible rapes between term papers and shareholder meetings. His Father even helped him maintain the ruse of his vigilante persona. The two even became closer for it. So much so, that when his Father was taken from him Tobias was devastated.
Trask Industries, Sheffield Global's biggest competitor, were convinced that the Vigilante Apollo was a mutant and that he was a menace to society. Trask even exposed Tobias' Father as mutant. It turned out that Tobias' father was a mutant with the ability of Probability Manipulation. He had used it to manipulate the stock market for years, Trask believing that it was a form of fraud; Trask sent his Sentinels to apprehend Sheffield but due to "an accident" Tobias' Father was killed and Tobias was forced to make himself a bit more of a public figure so that Trask couldn't target him. He moved to London, took the reigns of Sheffield Global and continued his work as a Vigilante in London.

- Tobias could be simply discerned as the spoiled British rich brat whom got bored playing playboy and sought out new thrills in becoming a vigilante. However, even though Tobias is somewhat arrogant and narcissistic, he is not a completely bad person. His charm, wit and natural charisma magnetize people to him and he genuinely wants to make a difference when he dawns his Apollo mantle but even though his heart's in the right place, his tendency to show off can sometimes get the better of him. His thirst for vengeance is also always bubbling under his skin making him highly explosive when forced to deal with certain situations.

- Light Manipulation - Users can control light: electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye and is emitted and absorbed in tiny "packets" called photons. They can generate, bend, shift, focus, scatter and/or generally manipulate light to various degrees and effects.
The user is capable of bending the light around them in order to become invisible, generate blasts of photon energy, create force-fields and shields of light, and ride light-waves in order to fly. One can also create constructs, holographs, mentally repel photons in order to bring an area in total darkness, and become stronger by absorbing the ambient light in an area or light energy.
Tobias' light is generally coloured in a yellow/orange fashion; hence why he took the name Apollo.

- Power Skill #1: Invisibility
Users can render themselves unseen by the naked eye and become invisible in visible spectrum. The user can move about an environment unseen by others and act without being observed. Sometime users can seen by others by choosing too while the people around the user can't. Tobias does this by bending light around himself.
Power Skill #2: Photokinetic Constructs
Users can turn light into tools, objects, weapons and other items, they can also create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Users who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need.
Power Skill #3: Photoportation
The user can teleport via light/photons, merging into light and appearing anywhere else from the same element. Tobias cannot pass through walls using this method though, if he wishes to pass through an object or escape a cell there must be some sort of transparent surface/ object.
Power Skill #4: Light Projection
The user can generate/release/use light to attacks of various shapes and/or intensities, either projected, used as a part of melee attacks, or ways of transportation.
Power Skill #5: Elemental Flight Locked
Flight through the manipulation of different types of energy and matter, either by riding the element/energy or being propelled by it.
Power Skill #6: Light Healing Locked
The user can heal using light to recover from severe to minor injuries on themselves or others.
Non-Power skill #1: Fencing
After being forced by his Father to take up fencing from the age of 5 as a way of training his mind to one day inherit the Family Name; Tobias is somewhat of an expert when it comes to handling a sword. He has trained with some of the best fencers around Europe and could easily compete at International/ Olympic Level.
Non-Power skill #2: Martial Arts
Tobias is somewhat skilled in many forms of Martial Art thanks once again to his Father's desire to test and train the boy into becoming his successor. Tobi has knowledge of Jeet Kune Do, Aikido, Judo and Tae Kwon Do.
Non-Power skill #3: Education
Having been Educated at some of the finest establishments in the world as well as schooled in the ways of the world by his Father, Tobias is rather intelligent and more than able to match wits with anyone. He often keeps his cleverness a secret though, pulling it out only when it really proves necessary.
Non-Power skill #4: Driving
Tobias has the ability to pretty much drive anything with wheels, a trait which his Father had once joked was genetic from his Mother's side.

- Apart from his human conditioning, Tobias and his powers have many weaknesses that weigh heavy on the lad's shoulders. His powers are somewhat limited when coming across reflective or transparent surfaces or those who can manipulate gravity. When faced with these, his powers can become somewhat useless. Yet, these things are nothing in comparison to the weaknesses brought about by his own character. Tobias is overconfident and can therefore overestimate his abilities; Tobias is also claustrophobic.

- Lynette Molenyeux: As a student at a prestigious University, they were bound to meet at some time. Knowing each other, however, does not make them close. Although, her not-so-secret secret hatred for his inherited wealth did inspire Tobias to try and make his own way and this inspiration followed him even into the CEO chair at Sheffield Global.
