Revenge:
Revenge. We have all seen it in movies, perhaps we have felt it to some degree. Or perhaps that was envy. Could one really cause such revenge in another as to the point of murder?
It seems so unlikely in this day. Revenge is not truely as simple as one might make it out to be. It consists of lays upon lays of brooding, heartache, shame, fear, hate and then finally humor.
Why humor? Well, for starters I believe it is the foundation of life. Laughter causes all things in life, from happyness to sadness and hate. Humor is not simply use for the comedy, it is used to damage the very soul within us; if we even have a soul.
In the case of Revenge, Humor is used to delude the vengeful's spirit. It allows him to continue with a life of sorts while he continues to succeed in revenge itself. If the vengeful does not have humor, he snaps like a twig and falls from the society he has come to hate and therefor falling from any factor of succeeding. He becomes the mad man.
Or perhaps, we are all the mad man in some giant play?
The vengeful must be smooth. He must disappear and then repear only when he is not himself any longer. Humor as played its part on our character at this point. He has gone through many years alone, or not if the case works. He has brooded, planned with a madness we can not understand. After, he concludes to a broken heart, or shame in some cases if the heart was not touched. In that case, he skips a beat. But this has no bearing on his success. Due to the overwhelming amount of shame in his heart, he begins to hate. The world perhaps, himself but most definatly the one who has done him wrong. This hate is probably the longest stage in our characters life but he should begin to laugh at all this. Humor should not take the place of the hate but it should cover it up just enough so that when he re-enters the society that wronged him, he is someone entirely new. Someone without a past and who's future is shrouded in a mystery the woman take to.
This allows our vengeful character to enter the life of the one who did him wrong. We will call this character Craip for this journal. It is a word with no meaning and therefor it shall work. And the vengeful will be refured to are Direk.
The Direk has gone through the motions, yes. But he must have a plan. Without a plan, nothing can succeed. In the state between shame and just before hate, the direk must begin to use his resources (in this day, that would be the internet, library, and people) to his advantages. He must make such an elaborate plan but he must not write it down! If it is written, it is doomed to discovery and all is lost.
During this time, the Craip has either forgotten about the direk or is putting the direk behind him, making him a thing of memory and perhaps even a thing of imagination. The craip is continueing with his life. His life may or may not go as well as he would like. He could succeed in life and make milllions, careing with him no worry of the direk returning for any such reason. the craip has forgotten all.
The direk is to use the craip's forgetfulness as a resource. He should keep close tabs on the craip from far all. He should know it the craip has a business, or is living in a box. If the craip has fallen from the path of succesion, all the direk must do then is to succeed where the craip has falled and the revenge is thus finished. However in most cases, the craip has succeed and therefore making our direk's job harder but full of intrigue.
If all goes right for the direk, he will re-enter the society of the craip without any trouble. Or should their be trouble? In either case he is to succeed. The direk must work around the craip; he must cause rumors so the craip becomes intrigued but he must never come to face with the craip yet. The direk must be patient. If the craip is married and has children of age, he should get close to the children. Woman are easy for the direk and therefore he should start with the young men in the family. With whatever plan he has made, he must start with the young men.
After this, the woman will flock to his mystery and enchantment. The direk must keep the humor within reach while he works them. Falling in love will only hinder his plan.
Before this, the direk should have a name that will ring uneasy in the craip. It should not be obvious. It should be subtle enough that the craip shivers at the name and he knows not why. This should be easy for our direk if he has thought about it enough.
The plan should go accordingly. The direk should weasel his way into the hearts of those close to the craip, making it easy for him to come and go. Or perhaps he can be aloof, allowing himself to come and go unnoticed. Whatever works for the direk.
Coming face to face with the craip should be casual and smooth. The direk should give no hint as to who he is and become reaquanted with the craip. Bring up no questions about the past. Let the rumors the craip has heard lead the craip into asking his own questions. Be very subtle when answering. Perhaps the direk has gone so far as to reinvent an entire life. Be careful of the craip snooping into the past. Make the invented something tangable that the craip can follow without suspicion.
After this, it all depends on the direk and his plan. It should succeed if this is followed. Or perhaps I am not correct. The direk, if he is serious, knows exactly what to do.
