So few things in life that a wanderer may offer
Even fewer than a wanderer may gain.
Yet... I stand by this life of wandering
For it is the only thing to ever
Quell the pain within this wretched soul.
This land of death is the only world I wish to know.
Within its deapths... I am able to find peace.
The world above contains more than I can bear.
The tangled song strands of blood and wrath and battle
While here... there is only the sweet melody of death.
A melody of which I am more than used to.
Taint and corruption have become but mere memories
To this darkened, clouded mind.
What were once songs to these ears have now become
Nothing more than shadows.
These shadows continue to loom over me
Daring me to return to the world I used to know.
But I will never go back.
I have been named wanderer, I have been named dreamer
Above they called me Paladin
Above they took the innocence from me and warped my mind
with their war songs and their metal and their lust for battle.
In the cold, bitter reaches of this wanderer's wasteland, I have forgotten
What it was like to kill, to hurt and to destroy.
But I have never forgotten sadness.
I have never forgotten that day that my heartlight flickered and died.
And I will never forget.
My way is that of the wanderer. The wanderer's path I shall follow
And continue to follow in desperate hope
That perhaps, in these wastes
I might encounter my heartlight once again.
But until I do,
The wanderer's path is forever mine.
Mine to walk aloof and alone.
Deep within the city of death
The city of pure, eternal slumber.
