Due to the weather the tavern hadn't seen many customers in a while, though some of the locals would stop by early in the night for drinks. With little to keep her busy Joie had left around midnight to hunt, or in the least, enjoy the freshly fallen snow.
Hours passed without trouble, and in the end she hadn't actually caught anything more than a rabbit or two. Sending them through the void, she made her way back towards the tavern, taking her time to enjoy the snow. She would hunt again tomorrow and then head into the village proper to to pick up anything else they were lacking back at the tavern.
She walked back with her fur lined cloak wrapped tightly around herself, the hood pulled up to cut the chill of the night. Joie loved the winter and, as she had tonight, often lost track of the passage of time when she was out in the snow. The way the moon, though far from full, lit up the forest with the help of the fresh snow. The forest was silent, in a peaceful way and it really made her feel relaxed. It wasn't until she neared the clearing where the tavern was nestled that she noticed how low in the sky the moon really was. It would be sun up in only a few hours.
With a smile towards the waning moon she made her way to the door, pushing it open with a small sigh as she was greeted with the inviting warmth of the tavern. She had noticed the smoke from the chimney as she neared, so she wasn't surprised that someone was up. Noticing the man who stood before the fire Joie smiled. While she didn't have anyone currently staying, she hadn't discounted the chance of anyone arriving while she was out. She just hoped he hadn't been here too long, that would be a first impression without much chance of recovery.
"Good morning sir. I hope I haven't kept you waiting." Removing her heavy winter cloak, Joie addressed the man as she hung it by the door. A small pile of snow pilled on the floor below. "I was out to enjoy the weather, but that's no excuse if you've been waiting. Can I get you anything as an apology? We are currently out of a lot, but I can make you a meal if you want, or if you have a drink you enjoy?"
Joie wore a soft smile on her lips and she had a sparkle in her eyes. As she moved across the floor towards the bar she straightened her shirt, deep red and covering her arms to her wrists. She pulled off her gloves before reaching back to remove the beautiful black stained bow from her shoulder. Moving behind the bar, she quickly put her bow and quiver away before turning to look at the unknown man at the fire, her smile never wavering as she straightened her ponytail.
