When it looked to the seas
the seas
the inky blue waters of far away
The seas shimmered with diamond light
the seas shone with diamond light
the sea was nothing but diamond light
fading into a distant memory.

When it looked to the skies
the skies
the veil of cloud blue, punctured with white
the skies rippled and flickered like fabric
The skies danced in the air like fabric
the skies sighed like fabric
before melting into gray.

When it looked to the fields
the fields
the shimmering green grass, drenched with red dew
the fields were dark with blood
the fields were poisoned with blood
the fields had died for all the blood
and its heart was torn in two.

So it looked toward home
toward home
expecting the smouldering wreck of pain
But home was still warm with light
home was still bright with light
home was still there in the light

So wherever the passage of time may take you
wherever you're pulled and tossed and dragged
no matter what happens
Home shall always be there
home shall always comfort
Home will hold your light
Forevermore
