Mum and I was talking about our animals that we've owned through the years...
My first cat, Smulan, was so kind you could hold her up by one of her paws and she woulden't protest in any way, she also let me dress her up in doll clothes...
She had 3 kittens; Bill, Bull and Isabella.
Don't remember what happened to them...
Then we had rabbits too.
It started out with one and we sure as hell didn't intend it to get more of them but... ninja
One morning we found out that we most definatly had more than one...
They escaped once and our two dogs retrived every single one of them without leaving as much as a mark on them...
Unfortunally the baby rabbits died of fright instead. sad
One of our dogs, Aggi, was very kind but blind on one eye and could almost not see anything on the other so she barked at anyone coming into our garden.
We got our other dog, Falco, at the same time but he was only a puppy. He chewed up quite a lot of shoes and baskets...
And one time when we said that he absolutly HAD to take a bath he hid in the basket where we put the dirty clothes, he was soooo adorable!
He is also a veeeerry kind dog, he wouldn't hurt a fly... Ok, he swallowed a bumblebee once but he never did THAT again...
He is rather old now, 12 years old and he's not really well.. His hearing is getting worse and he's acting like a puppy again.
Aggi's kidneys stopped fuctioning a couple of years ago so she was put to sleep, I still miss her.
We got another cat, Sessan, short for "prinsessan" (translates into princess).
She was adorable, I still remember when mum first brought her home. Her little grey head poking out from the box mum carried her in.
She looked like a cross breed between a siamese cat and a... normal(?) cat...
She was grey with dark gray stripe marks on her legs. She also had a cream colored little spot on the top of her head.
We didn't intend to get more cats either...
Not after the first time either...
And everytime she had her kittens she had them in my bed, just like her daughters would after her... After a few days they would always move the kittens to my wardrobe and then I had to teach them how to use the litter and that the cat food wouldn't eat them because they lived in MY room!
Needless to say, we all of a sudden had a lot of cats... xp
We also had hens... flying hens... I know! I know! Hens don't fly! Our, however, did...
Then our ducks... As soon as anything new happened on our little "farm" they would get together in a little circle and stand there for a while hissing at eachother, our ducks didn't quack, they hissed...
We also had geese. One of them bit my little sisters butt...
Sheep was something we also had... Many sheep...
Mum gav them pears once that came from our big pear tree, they had been lying on the ground a few day, but how was we supposed to know that they had become alcoholic!? The result? Drunk sheep, one of them laid with it's legs kicking in the air. It's a sight I'll never forget. xd
We also had 2 bottle lambs.
One of them, the first one, was called Albin (after the man who had owned the house before us). He couldn't stand for some reason and we brought him up in the house, bottle feeding him. He wasn't making much progress with the walkning though.
One day however, mum got fed up with him and said: "If you don't walk now I'll have you for dinner!" And behold, he walked. blaugh
(Mum seems to have done a lot, don't you think?)
The second lamb was called "Lilla Skutt", my great grandmother named her.
She thought she was a dog...
Aggi had gotten puppies at the time (hadn't planned those either) and gladly accepted both Lilla Skutt and the kittens... Strange dog...
So we ended up with a lamb who refused to stay with the other sheep, she'd rather be with Aggi and Falco in the dog yard...
I got a horse on my tenth birthday, Mabridos. He was beautiful, pure white.
He was a rather large horse, but kinder than any horse I've ever met.
Then we got Cherie to keep him company. She was an Exmoore, her father had been a wild horse so she wasn't easy to handle and prooved to be too much for us.
After Mabridos passed away and Cherie was sold we discovered that it was too empty without the horses and got 2 mini ponies. Black Fantasy (Blackie) and Fairy Tail (Saga, means fairy tail).
But when we moved we had to sell them too but I always keep thinking during a storm if I should bring in the horses in the stable... whee
I miss them.
One of our cats, Johannes, was a weird one. He looked a bit like Garfield...
When he tried to catch a bird once he tried to sneak up on it and when he jumped... Well, he jumped, the stomach didn't...
He ate anything. He even ate cucumber. sweatdrop
Sessan used to sneak over to the neighbours house and ask for cheese. The problem was that they fell for her "cute kitty eyes" and fed her the damn cheese!
The cat we have now is a very fine lady, Dott.
She will look down at you if you do something stupid and it looks like she's saying:
"And just WHAT do you think you're DOING stupid human?" stare
She's very small and acts like you'd expect someone from a very grand and fine family to act.
She has seemingly inherited her grandmothers love for cheese. But if there is 2 different sorts to choose of she'll only choose the finest one.
She's funny like that.
She also hates when I listen to my Ipod for some reason. She starts to eat at wires to the headphones...
I think that was it really... ^^
