Part 2. A Surprise Visit.

Renka lay against an oak tree, bored. Tomo couldn’t help but walk over to Renka, only to trip and accidentally fall on top of her.

“Get off of me.” She growled obviously angry from the disturbance of the fall.

“Oh sorry, Renka-san. Eh, heheh.” She apologetically replied getting up and dusting herself off. She finished in no time and put her hand out to help Renka up. Renka took Tomo’s hand and got up, using her wind skills to dust herself off. “Do you want to talk… or should I go bug Neko or Ayaname-chan?” She asked trying to pick up a conversation.

“Yeah, sure.” Renka replied sighing and putting her fans away, but before the two could start a void opened beside the two. Advent and Star stepped out before them. Advent stared off trying to avoid the stares of the two girls as Star instantaneously began talking.

“Your Tomo? It’s so nice to meet you!” She said grabbing one of Tomo’s hands in excitement. Tomo could only nod in confusion of the sudden appearance.

“Uhm, who are you? And how do you know my name?” The reincarnate asked.

Star gave a look of concern and looked at Advent, who was still avoiding any gaze of any sort. It was a second later Tomo spoke up with confidence in her eyes.

“Advent-san! Star-kun!” She exclaimed giving both a quick hug. Star laughed with the new reaction of Tomo.

“Now she remembers us. How have you been doing?” Star asked shooting a glare at Advent as a signal. He took in a deep breathe and let it out.

“How have you been doing?” He asked sullenly.

“Do you know these guys?” Renka asked, disgusted by the new intrusion. Tomo again nodded as part of her reply.

“Yeah, I barely do, but they’re Kamara Knights. I remember them from my past life Kari. They are the Knights of the Dimensional and Spirits.” She laughed lightly, “I guess my memories are coming back.” She looked at Star and Advent. “I’ve been doing great!”

Star and Advent looked at each other. Both were glad she remembered, although Advent wasn’t showing it. “Have you freed anymore Knights?” Star chimed gleefully.

“More of have you done anything lately?” Advent struck in. Star then discreetly gave Advent an elbow. Tomo sighed, a bit offended.

“I try, but I’m not sure if I’ll get the hang of this reincarnation thing.” She replied. “But, yes. Yes, I have done some things! The Knights I have awakened are Ryou, Neko, Rei, Blaze, Ayamane, Renka, Taku, and Rika.” She said triumphantly. Renka sighed heavily and went back to lie down and play with her fans. Tomo looked at Renka, but returned her attention to the two older companions, from the past time. “Star-kun, Advent-san… are you going to be traveling with me and the other Knights?” She asked, hope was in her eyes. Advent was about to make another remark, but Star elbowed him again to make sure his mouth stayed shut. She talked for him.

“We’ll try. We’ll try to be there for you as much as we can.” Star said. Advent scoffed.

“We’ll try, but we won’t be there every minute of the way.” Advent turned around and sliced open another void with his scythe. “C’mon Star, time to go.” With that, he stepped through. Star walked after him but stopped right before entering.

“Like, I said, we’ll try to be there as much as possible, and get some rest. You have a long journey ahead Tomo.” She said disappearing into the void.
