Zach rolled down the dark stretch of road, the ford mustang blurred into the black; the headlights had died a few hours ago. His only regard for other life was to drive the long winding back roads of silver firs, most of the streets were dead quiet, nothing moved. It seemed to Zach a quiet ride home. “I hate udder silent.” He muttered to himself as he searched the abyss of the car. Zach’s hand grouped the dark till it stumbled on to a, CD. His head turned from the dark road, “Good, I did leave my Linkin Park reanimation in here.” He whispered placing it in to the CD player. “Why, does it’s feel like night, today? Something in here’s not right today?” after countless minutes of lip singing of LP’s whirlwind remix it land on Zach’s favorite line. “It’s hard to bring you back up from the dead, so I suggest to you to follow the voice in the back of your head!” as the song finished, Zach took his eyes off the road for what felt like a second. SLAM! The car hit someone, their body rolled off the back to the ground. Slamming on the brakes the car screeched to a stop. The door rocketed open, Zach stepped out his black hair swayed invisibly in the dark, and his green eyes surveyed the dark, his nose whiffed in the crisp, cold air was masked with the unpleasant smell of rotting flesh. The soft sound of moaning echoed from the limp body lying on the ground. Some how this felt like a dream come true, but how, could this be he most likely killed someone. As he shuffled to the body the smell of decaying flesh became worse. “Something in here is not right today.” Zach muttered aloud. His body blocked the miniscule light from the body. As he reached down the limp body sprung to action. “uuuunhh, muuunh” It sounded, it’s face looked as if been bitten into by another human, the hands of the body charged. It’s moaning grew louder, and more of people who look like they went thought the same ordeal. “Crap!” Zach said, as he kicked the body in the chest knocking it to the ground. As it was falling to the ground, Zach booked it back to his car. “I, really hope that’s not what I think it is.” He gasped as he turned the car’s engine on. The stereo shouted loudly, the people he had left charged the car. With regard for his life Zach ran a few of the people over. The streets ahead were filled with more decaying people. “I need to see an old friend.” Zach said punching the gas. After a mile the decaying people were long gone. “At least my house is not affected yet.” Zach said the music played in the back ground. “The sun goes down; I feel the light betray me. Can’t stop what I’m feeling with in the face in side is right beneath the skin.” The stereo played as Zach’s car screeched to a halt in the once crowded neighborhood that now sat cold, and dead. A single light was on in the house. “It’s got to be him.” Zach said as he got out of the car. He ran to the front door, as he reached the porch his fist slammed into the metal door continually. Zach’s eyes wandered from the door to his surroundings the lights that regularly lit the street. The front door slid from Zach’s fist till he couldn’t reach it. The slight movement of the door jarred Zach. He looked at the hall way it was darkened by the late night. His fingers ran over the light switch, off, on, off, on. Nothing was working. “Kenny?” Zach yelled in to the void of his friend’s empty house. “BOO!” yelled a voice from behind Zach. Zach nearly jumped out of his skin, but the voice was a familiar to him. “Kenny, never do that again!” Zach scolded as he turned to face his friend. “How did you know it was me?” Kenny said a little disappointed in his friends lack of fear. “You’re the only fool who would stay in a zombie in feasted city.” Zach said trying to see in the pitch black room. Kenny moved a hand down turning a switch on a propane lantern. “It’s better, but it still needs work.” Zach pointed to the rest of the dark, lamely house. As they walked through the front room it was darker the back windows were bared to anyone. “Running through the Z.S.G?” Zach asked looking at the self fortified home. “Course!” Kenny said as if Zach was skeptical. They continued up the stairs, the stairs were already to be destroyed at any minute. Zach continued to follow Kenny up the stairs; Kenny had followed the guide to a tee. The house was almost a living fortress all it need was supplies. “So, I need to borrow the guide?” Zach asked Kenny as they entered Kenny’s room. “What happened to yours?” he asked tossing a gun at Zach. Zach looked at the 9mm hand gun; Kenny had handed him. “You know I don’t like guns.” Zach said handing it back. “Fine! If zombies eat you to bits it's not my falt.” Kenny yelled at Zach for he feared for this friend’s life. Zach walked over to the large oak book shelf and grabbed the zombie survival guide. “I will return in a few hours with some food for you.” Zach sighed as he left the room. His heart raced as he ran down the stairs. The nostalgic feeling that Zach had felt was gone replaced by the dreading fear he felt for his friends. Zach looked at the window were Kenny was last their eyes met, and knew this was the last time they would see each other. Zach climbed into his car he had more friends to help. Zach’s car speeded down the roads he needed to find a friend if she was still alive. His pulled up in frond of the house he had last seen her in. His heart pounded, but not by fear, he was nervous to see her again. His hands knocked on the door as hard as it could to gain attention. A blonde girl ran down the stairs her face showed her feelings; she was displaced to see him again. “What do you want?” she said, as she opened the door. “Ashley this is not the time.” Zach said tear clouded his vision. “Get in here!” Ashley yelled in a forceful command. He stepped through the front door, a memory of his past flashed by he had been here to visit Ashley, and Kelly. They sword fought together, at one point they had been friends. Without control he hugged her. “What is your problem?” She yelled turning and punching him in his face. His head almost hit the concrete outside her front door. Zach slowly got to his feet, finally in control. “I just came to save your life.” Zach said looking out the front door. “What are you taking about?” Ashley asked. Zach heard himself he sounded mad, maybe crazy. “Zombies they are outside I don’t know if they are close or far.” He added looking at Ashley’s eyes he was sincere, more so then ever. “I know you care.” Her voice quivered something Zach had never heard. “I just can’t believe your farfetched story.” “You don’t have to believe. You just have to get Kelly here, and gather food, just be ready to stay here for a long time without electricity, and water running.” Zach said as he embraced her, she lay limp in his arms. “Just stay safe.” He whispered in her ear. as he was about to let go of her, her dead family came out of the back lawn. Zach aimed his 9mm from Kenny at the famillar zombies, Ashley closed her eyes to miss the end of her family. With a loud gun shot Zach was gone, his car too. After Zach left Ashley called Kelly. “Kelly, I need you to do something.” Ashley said her voice quivered. Her brother and parents were dead. A bullet wound through their temples. “What’s wrong?” Kelly asked out of concern for her friend. “Can you get over here?” Ashley asked through the phone before it went dead. “I will be there as soon as possible…” Kelly said the phone line died before Kelly could finish. Zach’s car was gone skid marks marked its last location. His sword he had talked The freeway was still car doors were open, zombies every where. THUD, THUD the car sounded as it ran down zombies. The car weaved through car jams, and zombies. Linkin park played in the background of Zach’s mind. A few miles, hundreds of zombies and a gas tank stood before his destination. “I need my sword.” Zach said shifting the car into fourth gear, the road had cleared to just zombies; the nitrous oxide in his car never was tested for zombie crushing. The engine revved as NO2 hit his engine, the speed pushed his car into the zombies. The speed crushed the front end of his car to what was a human equivalent of a bloody pulp. As the car screamed down the off ramp it turned left. Its wheels barreled down the road, the zombies stood still not attacking like the freeway ones. As Zach’s car pulled into the river side apartments his friends were already killing zombies. His car pulled into the vacant parking spot. “I’m so halcyon.” Zach said running past zombie adrenaline pushed him past his fear. As he ran up the stairs he climbed the stairs two and three at a time. The frame of the door as broken, zombies couldn’t climb stairs, a stated fact in the Z.S.G. Zach’s mother stood next to Alex, they were getting ready to barricade the door as Zach walked in. “Zach, what are you doing here?” Alex asked Zach walked past Alex heading to his room a sword with a handle of a dragon sat on the wall. Zach pulled it off the wall. He marched out of the house, Alex didn’t allow Zach to take the sword from the house. “You can’t take that Zach!” Alex commanded “I need this for my safety.” Zach said as he walked out the door. When Zach was out of ear shot Alex said “He is in God’s hands now.” Zach's car backed out of the parking lot, He still had supplys to get be for he returned to Ashley, the best place to start was the mall. Zach ran down the street his car was out of gas. His car had stopped a few yards from the mall. A horde of zombies ran after him all bloody, and missing a few limbs. The zombies ahead of him had their heads cut off. One door was open on the mall, he ran in backwards slashed at the zombies that was trying to get in. As he got the door closed he barred its entrance with tables, and chairs. He ran deeper in to the mall still slashing at the zombies ahead he was trapped like a rat, he made a brake to the EB games store he had no chance to see his friends, his family, or even live out a full life. He sat up on a wall the 9mm up to his head. When he heard a explosion. The loud sound echoed in the distance of the mall. Someone, or something destroyed a wall. “I better check.” Zach said standing up his sword covered in dried blood. As he got closer to the origin of the sound, he could hear people talking. “Delta team take south corridor, Alpha team take north.” A man in black clothing said as he turned to see Zach. His gun was drawn the man in black fired, the bullet missed, it mark by a inch cutting a hole through Zach’s coat. the man in black turned to a handful group of soldirs. "Fire, fire at him now!" the man said turning back to Zach fireing his 9mm, sounds of M-16's fireing muffled the 9mm. the bullets missed Zach's body leaveing a outline on a wall behind him, like a cartoon character. As the men reloaded their guns Zach ran to a far off part of the mall. His short life flashed before his eyes, going to school, his friends, and his family he had a short life with little to look forward to.He stoped when he hit a closed shop fence. Truely he was a trapped rat. The man and his team of tugs closed in behind Zach, their guns aimed to kill. "Any last request?" the Man in black said his gun pointed to his heart. "Don't kill me!" Zach yelled the light above his broke the electricity shot to his hand. The electricty formed a glowing golden ball in his hand. "fire, fire at will NOW!!" The man yelled the bullets of the guns droped to the ground at the end of the barrels, the orb sent string of light to the tip of each gun stoping the harmfull shots. Seeing what had happened the man grabed his cell phone. "Sir, This is LT. Keyes, we have a tello here sould we take alive? Keyes asked he looked at Zach still holding the glowing orb. "Ok take alive if we can, ok will try to sir, over and out sir." Keyes replied hanging up his phone and drawing a small gun that he loaded with what looked like a horse traqulizer. "Sleep tight." Keyes said and fired. Kazuma awoke his friend Steel was sitting next to him still at the wheel the gray Cadillac still moveing at almost 100mph. "want to take over here partner?" Steel said looking at Kazuma. "Sure." Kazuma said as the car stopped, and Steel got out followed by Kazuma. As Steel got into the passanger seat, Kazuma placed gas into the almost empty tank. Kazuma started the car he looked over at Steel. "Sleep tight." Kazuma said as he steped on the gas pedal, still trying to find a space station. Dyzum staired at the hologram that sat on his lap. "Find the Targets one Zach willams, and Nick Perkins. They have destroyed Black op centers, destroyed Black op tech and robots. they are a threat to us stop them from getting to Sol, Dyzum if you fail you will wish you had died at their hands." the hologram said and shimmered off. Dyzum picked up a phone and ordered the man on the other side to get a destroyed into the galaxy. "I have to stop them." Dyzum said still folloing at a distance of the gray Cadillac.
