I am slowly losing faith in mankind.
Unless you've been hiding under a rock the last few years, you are probably aware that today is the sixth aniversary of 9-11. In Homeroom today someone came over the intercom and said we would have a moment of silence to honor the victims of the attacks. To my astonishment, I was the ONLY ONE (including the teacher) to remain silent. Is it so much to ask that people shut their mouths for ten damned seconds?! It blows my mind that people could be so careless and inconsiderate. I even said something to a few people through the day, and no one but me seemed to think the aniversary of the mass murder of hundreds of people was important enough to keep quiet for a few seconds and honor their memories. I don't understand people sometimes.
