Polarity
As a child
i never understood my mirror
her quiet
her reserve
her ability to be
me
when i could never be
her
i dirtied my fingers
she did not
i laughed
she did not
i could not understand
her indiference
we grew
i grew
in maturity
and stamina
she grew
away
when did my face
become a lie?

Allen Ginsberg once wrote,
"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving
hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the n**** streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,"
Guess what I just saw you do?
