Today I finally got a day off from all the missions that seemed to flood the Garden recently. So I figured I would head out to Esthar and see Laguna for a little while. It wasnt untill I was outside the Gardens walls that i realized i really didnt have transport anywhere outside of what the Garden paid for when I went on missions. And since I wasnt on a mission I couldnt ask for money for transport. I hate technicallities like that. But this is probably what I get for never leaving the Garden outside of when I have a mission to get done.

So, taking money I was saving for a new gunblade, I bought tickets and rental cars all the way to the nearest chocobo forest I could find. Nothing says free transport like a chocobo, and since the Garden has a place to take care of your Big Yellow Bird for free, they are probably the best kind of transport around this world.

Arriving there I found I needed to get a whistle to try and hunt these birds down. Sounds easy right? I wish it had been. The first time around I think I managed to get one to come up to me, but the thing stole my Whistle! Damn bird. I gave up looking for it about an hour later and just bought a new one from the chocobo boy who apparently lives in this forest. Sure enough however the thing stole my whistle again!

Hnn, I had spent the whole day working on getting a chocobo, and all my remaining gil too. It was a good thing I finally caught one otherwise I wouldnt have gotten back to the Garden anytime soon. Lets just hope nothing happens to this bird, cause I am not going to try and catch another one anytime soon.
