I’ve been sent to Deling City to help the local government quell an uprising that has grown out of control. Apparently this rebellion had started nicely enough, if you can call any rebellion nice. There were only peaceful protests and many angry letters, but as time went on with no response from the government, things took a turn for the worst. It grew to the point where Deling had to call the Garden, which should tell you how bad things are over there. When I was called to the mission I was given a file with the information so far.
While things had been peaceful for a long time, things began to change for the worst just a few months ago. Apparently the acts were small to start with, things getting broken in the main buildings and items being stolen from the personal homes of those working for Deling City. But as time went on it got out of hand. People started lighting fires to stores and other buildings, destroying whatever they got their hands on, and there have even been reports of a murder within the past week. If things don’t get under control soon, there is no telling what may happen to the innocent people living in Deling.
Reports say that the rebels have come under new leadership and this new leader is the one ordering all these attacks. We believe he is no longer acting in the best interest of the rebels, and is instead working to achieve his own gain, whatever that may be. Whatever is going on, all I know is – this person must be stopped before war breaks out.
This is the mission I have accepted. I’ve left the Garden and everyone I know for a long time. When I return I’ll file a report on what happened while I was away. And tell Zell to stay out of my room.
