Chapter 3: Shock
Miu had kissed Sen out of the blue! He looked taken aback after the kiss was finished. He got a bit red out of both anger and embarrassment. "Wh-What was that for!" He started, now looking her directly in the eyes. She put on an innocent face. "You didn't like it?" She asked curiously, putting a finger on her lips. "I thought it went pretty well." She added, her eyes with a look of inquisitiveness in them. "What's your problem, girl? You walk up to me and just kiss me like you're... never mind. But still, what's the deal?" Sen muttered, shaking his head. She looked a bit angry again. "Don't you remember? You saved me from those horrible monsters so many years ago!" She said, her arms down at her sides again. A gust of wind suddenly blew her skirt up and Sen looked down before she could push it back down again. "Pink?" He said, a tiny bit mortified. She raised her hand to smack him but Sen stopped her, grabbing her wrist. "Now what's this about me saving you from some monsters?" He asked, holding on to her wrist. There was then a pulse that sounded like a heartbeat. The area around Sen and Miu shook a tiny bit and Sen was sent flying backwards. He landed on his back and slid a few feet before realizing that he had been attacked. "What the hell was that?" He asked, shocked and surprised as he got up. Miu looked fine. She was rubbing the wrist Sen had grabbed. "That was me... you really hurt me with that grab, you know that?" She answered calmly. "I can make waves of almost any kind, if the right conditions are met." She continued. "Anyway, you were the one that saved me from the monsters when I was a little girl. I asked you to marry me and you said you would, before you... left." She said, a bit sad. She began to cry after finishing the sentence.

Cri and Uni met in a field outside of Orez. "Uni, something of the top most importance has come up. The Chosen One has finally awakened and will begin his journey." Cri explained, his steely gray eyes ever unblinking. Uni looked happy and shocked at the same time. "You're not joking?" He asked happily, beginning to wag his tail. Cri replied bluntly, "No, I'm not." "So what happens now that he woke up?" Uni asked, putting his hand up to his chin. "I confront him." Cri responded, dashing away quickly. Uni took a few steps to try and stop him, but decided against it. He went back inside the town to prepare another strike against The Second.
Cri was gaining on Sen's position very quickly. Sen and Miu, though, hadn't realized that Cri was tracking them. As Cri neared on their position, Sen looked in his direction. He saw Cri stop on top of a hill. "Wh-Who are you?" Sen asked with a bit of a stutter. Miu saw Cri standing on the hill as well and clung onto Sen, her head buried in his side. She was afraid. "I am Cri, the holder of the Ring of Chaos." He said as he pulled the orb that held the Ring of Chaos from a tiny pouch on his side. Sen began to run towards the ring, happy to see the first of the three, but Cri moved like lightning and stopped Sen with his blade, pointing it at his throat. Sen gulped and pulled out his own blade. "That sword is exactly like mine!" He commented. Cri didn't respond to this obvious statement. He simply thrust his blade through Sen's chest. The blade went through Sen, not cutting him or leaving any external wounds. But when Cri pulled the blade out, Sen buckled in pain, clutching at his stomach. Miu ran over to him and hugged him tightly, beginning to cry again. "Sen!" She cried pitifully as Cri held his blade to Miu. He swung it without hesitation but it was stopped by Sen, who had gotten back up and parried with his own blade. Cri jumped out of the way of the counter and stood on guard. "You want to fight? Then let's go." Sen said.
Cri held his blade in front of him with one hand, waiting for Sen to attack. Sen charged as quickly as he could, heading straight in for an attack. Cri parried, hitting the blade out of Sen's hands and slashing his throat. Sen clutched his neck and coughed up some blood. "Is that all?" Cri asked, still on the offense. Sen dodged a strike and struck Cri on his blade arm, sucking the energy from the arm into his body. Cri flinched for a split second before grabbing Sen's arms and draining the energy that was just taken from him. Cri was also losing energy by doing this, but he kept it up until Sen's arm couldn't be controlled. Sen had been in excruciating pain this whole time and Miu finally jumped into action. There was a pulse that sounded like a heartbeat in the area and Cri was sent flying backwards. He flipped and landed on his feet easily. "A shockwave?" He asked as Miu prepared another attack. Cri moved quickly over to her, kicking her in the stomach. She keeled over in pain, coughing up a bit of blood. "Damn you!" Sen shouted angrily, finally standing back up. He turned into his mutated angel form, flying at Cri with a wild look in his eyes. Cri stopped him with his bare hand and flicked him down into the ground face first. He held his wooden blade to Sen's back. Sen didn't budge. "Why don't you just give me the ring?" Sen asked, still face down. "Because that would be too easy." Cri answered, ready to strike a final blow. He brought his blade down but was stopped as he felt a gigantic mass of energy. "Who could this be?" Cri asked, turning to the source. It was Revl.
"What are you doing here?" Cri asked, now ignoring Miu and Sen. He was ready to attack Revl. "Protecting these two." Revl said, a bit weakly. Sen got up and looked at Revl. He stood back and began to ten to Miu. Revl put his hand towards Cri, his fingers pointing at him. He shot several beams of magical energy at Cri, who stood in one spot. Cri diverted the beams by simply hitting them away. Revl began to walk towards Cri, shooting more beams at him. Cri deflected them all. "Ouch." He said, looking at his hand. It was singed from all the beams. Revl was now mere feet away from Cri, who got in front of Revl rather quickly. "Go away." Revl commanded. Cri stabbed Revl through the stomach with his blade as a response. Revl fell to the ground and closed his eyes in pain. Sen was a bit angry. "You'll get this ring when you strike me down yourself." Cri told Sen. He threw his blade at Sen. "You need to be much stronger to beat me. This blade will help you do just that." He said as Sen caught the blade. He placed both of them at his sides. "Thanks." He muttered.

Simon had been silent for a long time. Val had tried to talk to him, but he hadn't responded. She had finally given up after about ten minutes. He was alone, sitting on top of a building, looking off into the peaceful green field. He was thinking of an easier way to travel throughout Z3R0 so that he could gather his forces. "I'm an elite sceni... I should be able to figure this out..." He thought to himself. "This would be so much easier if we had an earth mage... it would take forever to tunnel through this ground with machines." He thought, standing up. "Jewel's making an attack... I think." He muttered to himself, clicking his fingers. An alarm went off throughout the ity and The Third's army gathered. Val stood at Sen's side, looking a bit saddened. "Do you feel sure about this?" She asked, looking down at her feet. "Of course not." Sen answered, throwing his hand out to the front. "Move out!" He commanded with a booming voice.
Jewel had indeed been attacking a small village full of half-demons on The Third's side. Jewel was riding on one of her dragons. "Poor, pitiful beings..." She uttered, not with much emotion. "they must be purged from this oh-so-perfect world." She added, her dragon shooting a large fireball down at the village. The half-demons ran out of their houses at the fireball hit, burning about two or three homes instantly. "Jewel... what are you doing here?" Uni asked, riding over a nearby hill on a large dog. "Destroying this village, silly!" Jewel answered menically. She threw her blade into the air and another dragon transformed from it, flying over Jewel's head. It shot a fireball at Uni and stopped as the fireball was defelcted by a large shield of water. Jewel tilted her head to the side as her army turned its attention to Uni's forces as his army made its way over the same hill that Uni was on.
Simon had nearly reached the battlefied, realizing that he was right. He and val were sitting on a machina, a rather large machina which was moving of its own accord. "Looks like I made the right choice on coming here... it seems like the half demons are fighting back against both Uni and Jewel's army..." Simon observed, thinking to himself. Simon put out his hand and a small spell circle formed on the ground, a plasma cannon shooting up from the circle. It began to shoot large balls of plasma at both Jewel's dragons and Uni's dogs. Simon created several more before Uni and Jewel realized what was going on. The half-demons scrambled to The Third's side and the three of the army leaders looked at each other before advancing to attack.
