Chapter 9: Reasons
Liberius had fallen into an uproar at the site of Justice, just as S City had done. He had walked out of a white sphere in the middle of the city and everyone went crazy.
“This is getting rather annoying…” Justice thought to himself before a large dragon darkened the sky in front of him. Jewel was riding on top of it. She remained her normal self as she saw the silver haired man. A twisted smile covered her face.
“So you’ve come back, have you?” She asked.
“It would appear so.” Justice replied with an equally calm tone. The whole town fell silent when Justice spoke. Everyone was curious as to what he had to say
“Where is Blade?” Justice asked Jewel, looking up at her.
“Why do you want to know that?” Jewel asked in a tone that almost sounded childish.
“That is not important. What is important is that I need to see him.” Justice answered, pulling out his sword.
“I can’t let you kill him; he’s a very valuable pawn to me.” Jewel replied as she commanded one of her dragons on Justice, who was holding his sword in his left hand. He put his free hand out and, facing towards the beast, Jewel watched as the dragon hit Justice in the hand with full force, causing wind to whip out randomly and wildly. Dust and debris filled the air. When it cleared, Justice was unarmed, holding the dragon with the palm of his hand.
“Very good, Justice.” Jewel said, giving him a light clap. The Justicians looked astounded as the man kept the silver dragon under control. Jewel called her dragon back to her and Justice put his right hand back at his side.
“Jewel, I’m afraid I must kill you. You must die for the sin of slaying your comrades for your own selfish gain.” Justice explained in a clear tone. The town of Liberius turned their attention towards Jewel in shock and disbelief.
“Oh, Justice, now I’m going to have to make you suffer for revealing my secret.” Jewel said, still completely calm. Justice kept his look of seriousness.
“Come on then.”

All four of the heroes fighting Burst were at their limits. Sen was the only one left standing with Burst closing in on him. She didn’t look tired in the least bit. Sen, on the other hand, was using all of his energy just to hold his two blades.
“You guys weren’t very much fun.” Burst said, sighing as her first began to glow with the yellow light. She shot a line of energy straight at Sen, who rolled to the side to avoid it, stumbling as he tried to get up. The wall never him crumbled at the impact of the energy. Burst kept closing the gap between herself and Sen, who was breathing heavily and supporting herself with his blade at the point. Revl, Miu, and Amy were sprawled out at different parts of the room, trying to stay awake.
“Your journey ends here.” Burst said in a darker tone as she picked Sen up by the shirt with one hand and got ready to strike the final blow. Sen closed his eyes.
“I can’t die… like this…” He thought. A white light erupted from the ceiling and immediately filled the room around the five. Burst looked up through the opaque white light before tossing Sen against a wall.
“What’s going on?” Burst questioned in a mystified tone. A man with a white robe covering his entire body and a white hood covering his face appeared out of the light. The light vanished as though it had never been there. “Who are you?” Burst asked, still in an aloof tone. The man shook his head and took a step backwards. Burst watched him in awe as he stood still. But suddenly, she was in intense pain. She looked as the afterimage of the man vanished. He was nowhere to be seen.

Near had called all of the original legends up to Klowd.
“Law is late…” Wake muttered, tapping his foot on the ground impatiently. The four legends, along with Sayago and Near, were gathered around an inactive portal which was surrounded with stones representing each of the legend’s colors: black, red, green, brown, and white. It commemorated the way they had come to Z3R0.
“He’ll be here. He wouldn’t want to miss Sayago, would he?” Near asked.
“I think it’s a bit late for that.” Legend said, sitting on the ground cross-legged. Sayago nodded. She had taken off her cloak, revealing that she was wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans: clothes like all the other legends, except for Honor and Law, the two who wore cloaks overtop of their normal clothes.
“Whatever. You still haven’t explained how you got back, Sayago.” Near said with a curious tone in his voice.
“To tell the truth, I don’t know how I got back. I even forgot that I had ever been here at one point.” Sayago explained. Near shrugged. Honor hadn’t said a word yet, which was normal for him. If he had something to say, it was always important or relevant. Law walked up to the five. His hood was down and he was wearing his white cloak still.
“Ah, good to see you finally showed up, even if you did interfere with Sen’s journey.” Near said, facing off in the distance, sitting with his feet hanging off the edge of the city. The portal was located off an appendage of the city and stuck out like a sore thumb.
“Near, I interfered because I’m sick of this war.” Law said in total seriousness.
“Then why don’t you end it yourself?” Near retorted. Law sighed. It was obvious that, even though he was powerful, he could not stop the three armies by himself. “Anyway, why don’t you say hello to Sayago? She’s been DIEING to see you.” Near said in a sarcastic tone. Sayago looked a bit peeved before turning his attention to Law.
“Ah, yes, hello, Sayago.” Law said.
“Hello to you too.” Sayago replied.
“Now just what the hell do you want from us?” Wake asked Near.
“How would you feel about going on a vacation?” Near asked with a grin.

Simon had taken advantage of all the confusion to attack one of The First’s bases. He was halfway there before Uni caught wind of it. Zero was still with him so Uni decided to strike back.
“Zero, will you come with me to head off The Third’s attack?” Uni asked. Zero nodded.
“I’m sick and tired of this war anyway. I’ll help you as long as we can wrap this war up quickly.” He said. Uni’s tail began to wag. Miyun ran up to the back of him, pointing.
“Uni-kun, you really gotta stop…” She began to say before seeing Zero. She bowed before him without speaking another word. The three were on top of one of Uni’s dogs headed towards The Third’s army.
“Rise, Miyun.” Zero said. Miyun, with tears in her eyes, stood up and clumsily ran over to hug you.
“I hate you for putting me through what you did… I really thought you were dead!” She whined, hiccupping a bit, sobbing into Zero’s chest, pulling herself closer.
“easy, Miyun.” Uni said, pulling her away from Zero. She was still crying in a bit of a fit. Zero had a look of compassion in his face.
“I had no idea I upset the girl this much. I thought she had gotten over me after meeting you, Uni.” He said. Uni shrugged. Miyun had latched herself onto him and broke out in a new fit of sobs.
“It seems as though she’s taken quite a liking to you over these past three thousand years…” Zero commented, noticing how Miyun was grasping onto Uni.
“Yeah, well… anyway, you’ve been gone for this long; did you get any stronger?” Uni asked, averting the subject away from Miyun, who was still crying.
“Of course I did. But my brother is still stronger.”
“How is your relationship with him?”
“Still fine.”
“Good.” Uni said. “But that’s not what I really wanted to know. I want to see how much stronger you really got.”

Back in Liberius Justice was easily holding his own against Jewel. He had completely incapacitated one of her dragons, the one that had tried to attack him before. Jewel was getting frustrated, but she was trying not to show it. Blade had made his way t the front of the crowd. He was watching with a cold interest as Justice avoided a ball of fire. He hadn’t even taken his dark cloak off yet, the one that covered his silver hair and golden eyes and the dark blue, black, and silver plate armor plastered on his body. His sword was still out at his side, though he didn’t make an attack yet.
“Stop playing games and attack!” Jewel commanded Justice.
“I see no need to; you’re having a hard time landing a blow on me. Why would I strike back against such a weak opponent?” Justice explained. Jewel smiled as her dragon suddenly shot a ball of fire at Justice, who had lowered his guard while speaking. The fire ball engulfed the man, sending a wave of shock through the entire crowd. Jewel kept her smile in confidence, realizing that she had won.
“Amazing. I killed a legend.” Jewel said, commending herself on a job well done. But when the flames cleared Justice was still standing in the same spot, a golden light glowing faintly around him.
“You thought a mere dragon could slay me? I’ve walked through Hell’s Flames and came out on top.” Justice said, brushing a bit of dust off his shoulder. Blade watched with the rest of the city as Justice’s blade began to glow the same color he was. Blade realized quickly hat was going on and tried to make his way up to Jewel. Justice brought his blade to the highest point he could. Jewel saw Justice’s eyes now. They looked like a wolverine’s.
