have you ever watched a serious show or a movie with the plot that they mother, father, siblings or relatives had problems? Now, not the kind of problems like dislecsia or anything like that, but alcoholism and addiction to pills. Everytime I see that or hear about it, it makes me want to throw that person (or anyone) out the window and kill them.
I have always vowed to myself that I would never do anything bad. This was when I was about 12 yeras old and didn't know anybetter or anything at all.
I had definately vowed to myself that I would never smoke. Smoking anything; weed, cigs, etc... has to be bad for. Some might not be as bad as others but the damagae is still there. To this day I still feel that same way.
Another thing i vowed to myself no to ever do is pills. For one i hate taking pills for anything now; headaches, back pain and muscle pain. When i'm sick thats a different story since its making you better, but I am not an Advil addict or anything like that.
I feel that the need to take pills comes from the dependency of them. It could lead to someone taking them forever more and being addicted to them.
Drinking to me is another story. I feel that if you get drunk once, it's not good for you, but you won't have to worry about it. But if you make a habbit out of getting drunk or you get drunk easily, you could endup as an alcoholic. I myself only try things, but I've never gotten drunk. Perhaps its the fact I still have in my head that I wouldn't do anything bad.
Does that make me a loser? I don't think so but you might. I think that it's a lot better to vow to yourself an stick with it then to break it and ruin yourself.
Some people have the problem where they can't not break a vow or they can't promise themselves anything. Well, I think that a person needs to see a really really bad situation where they can picture themselves in that place if they don't wise up now.
