Memories
As she ran the land flew beneath her feet, scenery was changing quickly, and the distance was growing farther and farther between her and the strange gentleman fox she had met. Or dreamed she had met. Her thoughts crept back into the Underdark from which she had escaped. The White Dragon that had met her there nestled in the depths of the dark caverns emerging closer to the surface. Is, she had been so kind and gracious despite having been awakened so rudely. As the memories flooded back through her mind in a spinning whirling torrent of visual scenes so vivid it seemed as though she was once again standing before the Great Lady Dragon, as a sudden sharp gust swept from behind her pulling her forward. Shadow had held ground, but caught sight of the of the a large horned head through the sudden brilliance that had filled the room blinding her. Shadow remembered the horrible pain as the light had pierced her eyes rendering her helpless and how she had dropped to her knees in wreathing agony. Then the voice though guttural in sound still soft and feminine suddenly had found it's way into her head and spoke, "You are not an ordinary Drow, for you do not have the evil nature of your filthy race tainting your heart. I see your very soul... stand and be judged child for you are in our royal presence. Rise now!" The pain had abated as quickly as it had started and she found her self able to rise to her feet despite feeling a little nausea twirling around in her stomach. The unexpected encounter with the Lady Dragon and the sudden blast of light had left Shadow feeling horribly disorientated. Dragon! She looked up so quickly she nearly fell backwards and there they were. Two of the largest crystal blue eyes staring down into her own ruby eyes. The contact left her instantly paralyzed, but she felt a peace sweep over her and there was no fear. Again, the voice came, "You are in great danger. The Spider Queen hunts you and she will never stop for you have sinned against her and have been declared a traitor. Few have lived to make it as far as you through this peril. The Underdark often destroys traitors before they even make their way as far as my lair. You are as strong as you are courageous, but you must go now. I will gift you one thing before sending you on your way child. Then suddenly a light weight armor appeared upon Shadow as she just stared mouth open, but silent. The crown weighed nothing upon Shadows head, but the moment it touched her white locks a portal had ripped open. She looked at the Dragon with confused awe only to hear, "You are free to go now, begone, and may flights of fairies speed you on your journey." With that a gust pushed her into the portal hard enough to nearly knock her over. Surrounded by lot's of twinkling little lights she floated and then her feet found cold stone once again as she stepped through. She could still feel the armor, but no longer could she see it...curious. No time to dwell on that though. She knew the need to hurry along for the Lady Dragons words had not been wasted on her. That was when she had burst from the caves and into the new freshness of the starry night. A rebirth witnessed only by a white dragon.
