So the rain finally stopped today, and there are several pieces of the neighbors roof in our yard. Our house is mostly undamaged though, and I was looking out my window, and I noticed that my screen is all bent out and hanging there. It's actually been like that forever, but I was surprised that the wind hadn't knocked it away or anything. So I was looking at it, and I realized that five spiders have taken to living between my broken screen and my window. So I can never open it, but they've been there all through this hurricane, and when I could hear the screen banging against my window, they were still there. Not only that, but they had connected their webs in a way that it held the screen in place. It was...awesome.

As a studying Wicca, I have a certain respect for spiders and their webs, so I stared at it for an hour before i realized how cold it was. These spiders have a nest of eggs,and they are so cute! I know it's kind of creep how I think spiders are cute, but they are! The way they create and destroy with one mechanism, and how they love their young until they become too big. It's like watching the cycle of life on a smaller scale. Some may find that weird, but yes, life is like a spider. Fighting to survive, while keeping that element of rough beauty.


One day, as Sofia was walking on the beach of that small island, she stumbled upon a small box. Feeling rather curious, she opened it and was filled with a feeling of peace as music flowed out of the box and filled her head with her dreams of a place faraway.
When she went to her dragon guardians, she showed them the magic box and it's beautiful music. They nodded and smiled at her little box, but they did not say anything of the music. Sofia felt sad that they could not be comforted like she could by the music. So she kept it to herself and listened to it on lonely nights when her dreams weren't enough.
