“Mr. Clarke, it’s nothing that you should fear, but it’s the only way that we can permanently remove those thoughts from your head and keep them from eating away at the rest of your mind.”

Isaac Clarke, a man who had made a reputation for himself that we will keep to ourselves, sat upon a large white table, the doctor holding a pad and staring at him while he pressed a few buttons. “I’m not afraid of it.. I just don’t want to push off what I had to experience on someone else,” he explained. “You’re not pushing them onto someone else. We simply transfer those pinpoints in your brain and replace them with those from one of our coma patients, the chance of one of them waking up is one in a million.. You’ve nothing to feel bad for.” The man shifted, eyes looking over to the female who smiled faintly to him and nodded. “Alright, then I’ll do it.” “Wonderful!” the doctor exclaimed, “just lay back on the bench and we’ll move you over to where the process will begin.” With that command, Isaac lied back and allowed for the table to be rolled from the room, down the hall, and into another where a female patient hovered above the specially designed bed. Her eyes were closed as if in a deep sleep, long dark hair fluttering about her face. “This is her?” he questioned, the doctor nodding, “yep, Sofia Curie, used to be one of our best scientists, a genius among her time, but the ship she was working on collided with another and she hasn’t woken up from her sleep since.”

Isaac was brought side to side with the other’s bed, the doctor pushing a few buttons and allowing for her body to slowly sink down until it rested on the table. Immediately four plates were placed around her head, the same around Isaac’s, small devices forcing them to keep their eyes open while a needle slowly lowered and pierced the pupil. He could feel it… all the memories of what had happened, the Marker, the Necromorphs, the screams, Nichole… it was all fading away and being replaced with other memories, ones of a man and a young child, equations, the few memories that this girl had. Soon the needle pulled out and the Doctor smiled, “alright, be careful now, you have some of her memories in order to fill the blank points, things will seem a little different for a while.” Clarke nodded and was helped out, holding a hand over his eye, the Doctor looking to the sleeping girl when Isaac was out of sight. “What secrets did he give us thanks to you?” he questioned, touching her head, running his fingers over her hair.

Long halls, that was what she saw, walking down long halls where all doors all around were locked with the red glowing light. Ahead of her was a logo on the wall, and upon stepping closer she realized what it said. “Ishimura…” she whispered softly, looking around at her surroundings, shifting nervously. Long dark hair was messy around her face, soft green eyes searching everything, body clothed only in the hospital gown as if she had just stood and walked out of her bed. “Hello?” she called, looking for anyone. Ahead of her she watched a barrel roll and hit gently against the wall, smiling faintly and stepping closer to turn the corner. The smile faded at the sight of nothing. Where were they all? Groaning she pressed her hands to her head, the pain immense, closing her eyes tightly while she fell to her knees. Eyes opened when she felt her legs grow wet, looking down to see that she was kneeling in a pool of blood, letting out a scream while she scrambled to her feet. Eyes gazed all around her, blood splattered against all the walls and ground, bodies strewn around, ripped apart and deformed far past any sort of recognition.

The sound of footsteps caused her to run around the corner, searching for someone, anyone, stopping at what she found. What might have once been a man stood tall, two large claws protruding from his back, arms the same way, clothing ripped. He turned, staring at her, jaw missing and replaced with what looked to be the mouth of an insect. “W-what…” she stammered, shifting back slowly, watching as he let out a cry and charged…

Eyes snapped open, taking a deep gasp of air before she was forced to close her eyes against the bright lights. A groan sounded from her and she slowly sat up, wincing before she looked at the needles in her arms, hooking her up to machines. Immediately she pulled them out, tossing them away, gazing around her at the abandoned hospital room. “Hello?” she called, hearing nothing. That’s strange.. Normally a hospital would be filled with people… right? Standing she gave a cry, knees giving out, forcing her to fall to the ground with a small cry of pain. It took her a while to actually manage to gain control of her legs, barely standing thanks to the help of the bed, walking with wobbly legs to the door. It opened and she froze, a hand to her lips, staring at the blood that covered the walls and floors. “Oh god..” she whispered softly, catching movement from the corner of her eye, turning to lean against the door frame. “Who’s out there?” she called, slowly stepping from the room to follow the movement. The blood was cold as it stained the bottom of her feet, leaving tracks the more she moved. Arriving at another door she slipped inside, staring down the hall before exiting. She froze then at the head that peeked from behind the corner down the hall from her, lips parted while she tried to figure exactly she was seeing. But before she could even muster an explanation the creature cried and ran from the corner, charging to her with head down. She could only scream and hold up her hands as if they would protect her, waiting for the impact. But large hands grabbed her and pulled her up into the vents, thrashing in the grip while she was pulled from the danger below.

Turning she was face to face with the one who had grabbed her, unable to see his face behind the strange mask he wore, listening as he spoke. “Sofia Curie?” he questioned, gaining a stout nod from the girl. “Great, follow me,” with that he started to move through the vents, the girl hesitating before following after him. They moved through the vent for only a short while before hitting a dead end, the man breaking the cover under him before dropping out and helping Sofia down. “Step in here please,” he directed while he typed in a small code and the wall opened for her. For a moment she simply stood there, staring at him as if he were joking, but she could tell he wasn’t just by his stance and moved into the outline in the wall. Immediately her arms were sucked to her sides and her head forced back while it closed around her. It was dark before a bright light moved down her body, the machine wrapping her in some sort of fabric. The door was then opening, she stumbling out before gazing at the new clothing on her body, looking at the man before her. “You’ll be better this way, you’re going to have to defend yourself. I’m sure you’re trying to figure out what is happening, let me explain. You’re on one of the medical ships that orbit around Saturn. A few years back a man by the name of Isaac Clarke transferred his thoughts with yours and because of that your mind has become the blueprints to something immense, something so powerful that everyone wants to get their hands on it. And the wrong people did. They built it, they built the Marker, and now… all these… things are happening, people are changing into these creatures.. My boss sent me here to gather you, to take you to help us destroy it.”

“Alright.. I’ll help you.. For some reason, I know about all this, it’s like.. I’ve been through it before,” she murmured. “It’s not your memory, Miss Curie, it’s Isaac’s.. But it will help us along the way. The bars on your arms are contact bars, use them as a weapon when you need to.” He touched a hand to the door and it opened, she letting out a scream when blood splattered against her face and the suit. A long claw shot through the man’s body, thrust in his stomach and out his back while he grabbed it. His head turned to her and she shook, stepping back while he went limp. His body was tossed to the side and she watched while the same creature from her dream stepped in and looked towards her. It cried out and charged at her, stopping when the bar made contact with it’s face, knocking it’s head clean off. A few more hits and the body was torn and limp on the ground, she stepping back from it while she tried to catch her breath. Immediately the door opened again and she lifted her hands to defend herself, watching as the dead man’s partner rushed in. “Come on!” he had shouted to her, her mask folding over her face before she hurried after him, following the running male.
