❈ Basic Information ❈
Character Name: Reita
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 3rd Septemer
Age: 18
Height: 6"4
Weight: 180 Ibs
Occupation: Student, Semi-Professional Musician
Species (Race): Human
Blood Type: O Negative
Scars / Tattoos:
Piercings: Ear Studs
Sexual Orientation: Unknown, Possibly Bisexual
Personality:
Reita loves music and fashion, sometimes taking it to the extremes as seen in his appearance. However, if one was to scratch beneath the surface they would find that underneath the apparent 'bad-boy' visual kei exterior is the real Reita. 'Real' is a term used loosely because Reita never really acts any different to how he actually is; his outward appearance is just frightening to some making it hard for him to make friends as he apparently repels people on first impressions. When you do befriend Reita though, it is obvious that he comes from some sort of religious background and his mannerisms are highly reflective of the Buddhist teachings he was brought up with. Gentle and well spoken, Reita is somewhat of a great social mediator being able to solve conflicts before they come to blows and being generous enough to hear both sides of a story in order to deliver a solution that both parties in an argument can agree on. These services have not only seen him called upon to resolve disputes but to give advice about things such as love, grades and even religion. And with Reita being so kind and generous to all, he is never one to turn anyone down...
However, Reita is not so perfect and merciful as he leads everyone to believe especially when it comes to Vampires, Vampires and any other creature that feeds on blood to increase it's power. Reita under goes extreme morale conflict when faced with one of these three things, often resulting in explosive rage and displays of his strange almost super human strength and his amazing martial arts skills. He holds a dark extreme hatred for Vampires and The Hunters, having no qualms to teaming up with one side as long as it means destroying the other. Yet, even under these circumstances, Reita can only bring himself to be the judge and jury and never the executioner...

❈ Combative Information ❈
Weapon Name: Shukufuku Chū ~ Blesséd Note
Type of Weapon: Shakujo
A khakkhara (Sanskrit: 'Sounding staff', English: monk staff, Japanese: 錫杖, shakujō, Mandarin xīzhàng, literally "tin stick" wink is a Buddhist ringed staff used primarily in prayer or as a weapon, that originates from India. The jingling of the staff's rings is used to warn small sentient beings (i.e. insects) to move from the carrier's path and avoid being accidentally trodden on. In ancient times it was used also to scare away dangerous animals. Ringing also is used to alert the faithful that there is a monk within earshot in need of alms. In the Sarvāstivāda vinaya the khakkhara is called the “sounding staff” because of the tinkling sound the rings make.
Weapon Range: Physical Range of 6 Feet, Sound Range of 12 Feet
Hunter Type: Anti Vampire
Weapon Ability:
Shukufuku Chū has two main abilities:
○ Concealment | Supplementary | No Range
A basic human sealing spell that monks used to conceal their Shakujo in modern day society, now seeing a need to hide it since the world is turning their backs on religion. Most times, it seals itself in the form of a piece of jewellery; Reita's is a pendant that he wears at all times (refer to sealed form appearance). The Shakujo loses its powers when sealed and can only be released after chanting: "Anata no shinseina kyoku de, watashi wa seimei o iji shitai to omoimasu. Chaimu! ~ With your sacred music, I wish to preserve life. Chime!"
● Blesséd Noise | Combat | Long Range 0 ~ 12 ft
The Shakujo's main combat ability is not that of destruction, it holds no explosive or shredding power but instead uses its four rings (in Reita's case because he is still a novice monk) to make chiming sounds. On the surface, these chimes may seem harmless and even beautiful but underneath the delicate noise is something far more dangerous; underneath the main body of noise is a sound like that of a dog whistle that cannot be heard within normal human range. Specifically designed to protect Monks from Vampires on their travels, the monasteries discovered a note that crippled all Vampires when they heard it and called it 'The Blesséd Note' where the weapon eventually got its name from. To Vampire's the under laying tone heard by them is like having nails on a chalk board blasted from 1000 watt speakers right next to their ears; mostly causing pain and disabling the Vampire for adequate enough time for the Monk to escape. Even if a Vampire does manage to move whilst the chime is ringing, the noise disrupts the inner ear inhibiting the Vampires balance and spacial awareness making it harder for them to move as they should, even at their super human standards.
Every time the staff is hit and the rings chime, this sound wave is emitted making a wielder able to 'blast' the opposing Vampire with this sound multiple times. The wielder may also cut the sound short, sparing the victim pain. Prolonged exposure can often lead to permanent damage of the Vampire's Inner Ear, as it is an Anti-Vampire Weapon.
Use of the disorientating abilities can also be done to Humans but unlike Vampires, they will not be able to hear the sound wave causing the effect.
Weapon Appearance:
~ Sealed Form
~ Released Form
Strengths:
Reita has been trained in and mastered many different forms of Martial Arts under the tutelage of his Father. During his time at the monastery it was believed that the body must be strong in order to reach the pinnacle of spiritual enlightenment and thus, the monks also trained in Martial Arts. It was during Martial Arts training at a young age that Reita displayed a strength level almost surpassing human limits. This strength was nurtured and saw him trained with blunt weaponry rather then blades or swords as he could do much more damage to an attack through bruising and internal bleeding then any cut or slice. This strength also saw him able to run faster, jump higher and generally surpass most normal human beings without the use of blood.
Weaknesses:
Reita's inner turmoil, is actually his biggest weakness. His inability to kill another living creature, Vampire or not is something his teachers tried very hard to eliminate from his persona but failed. Reita's morale compass but explosive tendency towards vampires and hunters can often land him within hot water as he charges forward without thinking and often allows his enemies to leave with their lives to fight another day, endangering the lives of many, are a simple manifestation of his inner conflict within reality.
