This means a lot to me.
The following is a Bible verse and information I got from my Bible study group a few weeks or months ago:

Adam had a relationship with God before he had one with Eve. That's important. Why? Because nobody but God can tell you who you really are, or what you're worth! Until you understand that, you'll keep looking for someone to love so much that you'll finally start feeling good about yourself. The trouble is, when you find that person you'll cling to them like a vine. You'll agree with all their opinions and have none of your own. You'll try to meet their every need. And you'll feel threatened if they can do (or enjoy) anything without you. You'll say, "All I need is you, how come you don't feel the same way about me." No relationship can sustain such a load.
Adam learned to relate to Eve- only after he learned to relate to God. It's on God's presence, free from the opinions of others, that you begin to look at yourself in the right mirror. It's here that you prepare the gift to be given. But something has changed. Now you know how much you're worth and you'll only give yourself to someone who places the same value on you. God has always wanted the best for you; He's just waiting for you to come into agreement with Him.

You who have been abused abandoned, betrayed, or feel like you never measure up, listen to these words. They're from a God whose opion of you never changes: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. I will build you up again." (Jeremiah 31:3-4 New International Version)

I cried so much when I heard these words from the Bible study. They give me more strength to go on and enjoy life. We should be thankful for God's blessings, but most of us take them for granted.

"you'll keep looking for someone to love so much "

A while back, we had this discussion in Bible too. That we cannot love or learn to love anything without loving the Lord first. And know that he loves us too enough to walk through that bloodpath, enough to take back Israel and Judah, enough to give his only son. Sometimes I forget that. Thanks for reminding me. ^^

Yes! I agree completely. You can not love without knowing what it truly is. Sadly, love is unexplainable and a bit ridiculous to those who do not know God. Back in my trialing past, I only knew hate and sorrow. I laughed at the very thought of an everlasting love. But that changed when I pursued God. When I went to him and asked him forgiveness and for him to take me in, he taught me of this love...at first I didn't really love back...at first I went to Him because I was desperate...but now...I love God and try my hardest to honor Him above all else. Y'know Emie, it kind of concerned me when I heard you didn't smile...and when you told me, it felt akward for you to. You must've had a rough past to say something like that...but, Angel, that was the past...this is the present. But maybe I shouldn't talk...I still remember my childhood years and when no ones watching, I weep over the painful memories. But...I smile afterwards...because I think we take so many things for granted in this world we live in. Sure, people still made fun of me, called me names, and at times, abused me...but I was given the breath of life...I was given a purpose in this world. And despite all the jeering classmates, I could feel God's love for me. It's like that scripture in the Bible, where it says that now that we are of God's and not of the world, the world will hate us...but I know in my heart that he made this world for us to walk on...he created us...and all things he does is in our own benefit. So, it's hightime we started smiling again, cause this world can't hold us. We'll never give into the worldly...and now that we gave our lives to Christ, we have been granted eternal life. So even if this world goes so low as to kiling us, it still won't win. Cause to Christians, death is not the end, it is merely the beginning. Also know that, God will fill all our needs and don't worry about the struggles. Just let go and let God. God wants us to have fun in this world...so enough sad stories, enough painful memories, it's time we remember that He has our life already planned. I was once searching for this girl, this dream girl that I've always thought of. When I had failed in finding her and felt the sting of rejection, I was hurt at first, but then I went to God and offered Him my life and told Him he could do what he wanted to it...and that was when He gave me you...so He has a plan and He knows all the struggles we're gonna encounter. And wether it's alot or a few, let us remember, let us rejoice that He will be there for us when no one else is.

I couldn't agree with the two of you any more than I already do. It's so great to actually notice when you're smiling. Not just some "say cheese!" smile but a smile your loved ones make. And not just noticing your own smile, it's good to see other people's happy faces too (for the right reasons). Think WALMART!! =P
