Two days at the wonderful Anime Expo
(For all your information: I am not posting this just to show off. I just want to always remember the days I spent at the Anime Expo) ((not to be meant in a mean way))
Day One: My mom, sister (Melinda or Moe), and cousin Heidi went with me to the Anime Expo, and we had to wait for almost two hours just to get our badge holders. To kill some time, we took some pictures of cosplayers or people wearing costumes for the fun of it. I really like this Sango cosplayer I saw, but she was too shy to be taken a picture of. (Aww.) Her costume was awesome. Anyway, I saw some One Piece cosplayers, and their costumes were so creative, but the sad thing is that my mother didn't push the button hard enough on the camera to take a picture of a certain cosplayer that I also liked. I got over it. A few moments later, I saw Ash and Misty cosplayers. Ah, that makes me remember the good old days. After a very long time, we finally arrived at the desk for the badge holders (We pre-registered online before all this). Then, we picked up some grab bags that were obviously free. All the fuss was now over, or so I thought. My mom was buying Heidi a AX (Anime Expo) shirt, and the "slow service" was ticking her off. I'll skip all the other drama. Then, we passed some time by looking around since the line for the Exhibit Hall was very long. Blah, blah blah....The Exhibit Hall is open! Yay! We finally went inside, and crowds of anime-crazed fans were surrounding the perimeter. Heidi wanted to go shopping so we went shopping. I remember buying a Fullmetal Alchemist DVD and some Full Moon wo Sagashite manga. I think I forgot stuff, but I don't want to bore anyone with that. Oh! Heidi also saw a sign (that we took a picture of) of Vic with the autograph session info. We were so relieved, because we thought he was only going to be at the Anime Expo on Monday or Tuesday. I'm so glad that we were wrong. We were getting tired, and it was almost time to go. End of day one
Day Two: This is where all the famous voice actors are! My mom, Melinda, and Heidi (including me) were waiting in a huge line (yet again) for the Exhibit Hall. I thought we were early. So I passed time by reading my manga. When the line was going all the way to the Exhibit Hall, my heart was racing. We were finally going to meet the best voice actor in the world, Vic Mignogna! It was about time for the autograph session. We were walking around to find the specific booth (from which I bought the complete DN Angel DVD set from behind the booth), and there in all the heavenly bliss I saw Vic from afar. He was busy signing stuff and talking to the fellow FMA (and other anime that he has acted in) fans. We were thankfully early enough to be in the middle of the growing line. It was almost time to meet Vic. One by one, people were hogging him (well it's the truth) and glomping him when they had the chance. Pictures and video taping were allowed (thank you God!). My sister was getting the video camera ready and so was my mom with the other camera (to take pictures). Then it was finally our turn to be in the presence of the honorable Vic. He noticed Heidi since she was right in the middles of us (Grrr lucky goose). He said that he loved her name and etc. (*sigh* I wish he commented on mine) Heidi was flattering him like crazy, but that was to be expected of her. Vic even called her sweetheart for saying that he was the best person in the world (which I agree that the fact is very true). The funny thing is that Moe was filming him, and he noticed the camera. So Vic was talking in the speaker. But you have to look at the video to hear the exact words since my mind is a but fuzzy in that area (too much noise from the people). It was sooo awesome! Heidi asked him to glomp her (oh and he laughed at her glomp sign first before all this), but I was too late to see what was happening, but I think I remember the glomping. Wait, I forgot to tell you that he signed her FMA DVD (and I forgot to bring mind darn it all). Well, they left without me for a while, but I gathered some courage and asked Vic to sign my bag (my dumb sister wasn't filming because she thought they were all done ((as if I was going without an autograph))). Of course, Vic kindly signed my fruits basket bag with a silver permanent marker which looked so cool. His signature was very unique (yayness!) Then Vic said, "Thank you Emily," in a deep sort of voice I think he saw my badge that had my name on it. But I thanked him before I went back so don't worry. I was too shy to glomp him. crying Anyway, whenever I get the the chance of meeting Vic again I will remember glomp him and take some pictures. (oh and my mom took a picture of Moe, Heidi, Vic, and me together!) Then it was time to go shopping. I got the DN Angel set, and a Kyo hat with cute ears. Heidi got some FMA stuff, and Moe got a FMA bag which I wanted also (but oh well). I'll skip the eating food part. We were going to spin the wheel for free stuff, but we were too late. (we got a ticket and etc.) It was almost 2:00 (time to meet Laura Bailley ((voice actor of Tohru, Lust, and etc.)) and Vic) ((it doesn't hurt to meet him again)). We waited in another long line, but Heidi complained that the autograph session was going to be over so we had to go. Awww, I really wanted their autographs. When we went outside, there were a ton of cosplayers. I saw a very good Cloud cosplayer and some Kingdom Hearts characters. I also saw a guy with a huge sword. We took a lot of pictures there. A few moments later, it was really time to go. It was hot, and it wasn't getting cooler. Thank you God for air conditioning. I had so much fun at the Anime Expo, and I will beg my mom to go next year again. End of day two Comments are welcome
[I might have forgotten a few moments at the Anime Expo like seeing The Indigo sing on a stage (I should have waited until it was over so I could buy their CD, have it autographed, and get a picture taken with them)] *laughs* Finally done.
