Sakura's Babble
I Like Fire...Do You Like Fire?
Giving up on school details
Nobody really wants to read about my school anyway, so now I'm just going to post whatever pops into my head that has slight significance. But I already broke that rule too:

Here's a random story I wrote yesterday out of sheer boredom

Once there was a small village, where it was custom for the men in town to go around to the other houses and talk to the young ladies. These visits were always chaperoned by the girls' parent(s). One man, Mr.Hobbs, took fancy to a girl who recently moved to a rather large house on the far edge of town, near the woods. Now, this girl's parents did not move in with her, and nobody in the village thought she was an orphan. Because she had no parents, Mr.Hobbs was quite nervous about going over the first time, worrying that he may scare her if she were unaware of the tradition, or what people might accuse him of. However, even though her parents were nix, Mr.Hobbs soon discovered that she had four brothers. They would watch Mr.Hobbs closely as he spoke to their sister, not very pleased with his presence. Mr.Hobbs and the girl became good friends, and one time, he brought up the fact that he visits her often, yet she has never been to his house, and that she should come over some time. "My home is located in the clearing of the woods. You are welcome there anytime."
The girl smiled and nodded, ignoring her brothers' near synchronized twitch.
A few days later, she was picking flowers in the woods when she came upon a cute little cabin in the middle of nowhere. That must be Mr.Hobbs's house... She thought, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I came in, after all, he did invite me. So she went up to the door and knocked, nobody answered, but the door creaked open, she stepped in and found herself in a sort of small entrance hall with another door leading into the main house. The girl was about to push open the door when she noticed a sign hanging on it that said, "Be bold, be bold". She thought this was odd, but continued into the house. When she pushed open the door she saw a large wooden staircase with a pretty looking statue at the top, although it wasn't clear to her as what it was supposed to be. So, she climbed the stairs to see the statue better. It was a nymph, from the old Greek myths her uncle used to read and teach to her when she was younger, and when she got close enough to see, there was another girl laying at the nymph's feet. She was bald, and seemed to have been skinned, as well as part of her arm was nothing but dismembered bones. Slightly frightened by this image, the girl turned to move to a different part of the house. Right next to the statue of the nymphs was a door into what seemed to be the parlor. above the door was a sign that said, "Be bold, be bold, but not too bold".
She thought these signs were odd and suspicious, but she continued into the room anyway. It was a very cute little parlor, with a crimson rug and walls, and a polished cherry wood table. On one wall there were to large folding doors. She walked over to them and looked up, seeing another sign, "Be bold, be bold, but not too bold, or your heart's blood will run cold." Quite sick of these idiotic warnings, the girl pulled the doors open to reveal three bathtubs. "Well that's not weird..." She mumbled sarcastically, frowning in annoyance. The first one contained a dark red liquid, the second looked a bit like string, and the third rubber and stones. A little confused, the girl stepped closer and immediately noticed the smell. Not unfamiliar to her, but drastically uncommon for her current setting. Sticking her hand into the liquid contained in the first tub she raised a bit of the red stuff to her face and sniffed it, then brought it to her lips and actually tasted it..."Blood?" An expression of curious suspicion came to her face as she stepped to the next bowl. Reaching into this one she felt the silky texture of the string-like substance. Touching her own head with her clean hand and running her fingers through her long locks, the maiden felt a shiver go down her spine, the matter was the same. This one was filled with hair. Slowly moving on to the last tub, another, stronger odor reached her. This one she need not even touch to figure out, flesh. As to what she thought were stones, it was easy to guess from here. Bones.
Deciding to tell her brothers about this as soon as possible, the girl ran out into the main room, as she was about to proceed into the entrance hall, she heard the front door open and Mr.Hobb's voice shouting, as well as a screaming girl. Not wanting to be seen snooping around his house, the girl hid under the stairs and watched as Mr.Hobbs pulled a young lady into his house by her hair. Screaming as she was pulled up the stairs, the poor captive grabbed onto the railing and Mr.Hobbs did not hesitate to simply pull out a knife and slice off her hand. The amputated hunk of flesh landed directly on the lap of the girl under the stairs. Stifiling any sound she would have made, the took the hand and wrapped it in her cloak. Moving only so slightly as to see Mr.Hobbs pull the sobbing woman into the parlor. A scream was heard, and the girl ran out the door as fast as she could back to her house.
The next day, Mr.Hobbs came back to the girl's house to talk, all four brothers once again present. "I had the strangest dream last night, Mr. Hobbs." The girl said when they sat down to lunch.
"Oh really?" The man responded, "Well, I have been to many places and deciphered countless dreams, perhaps I can help?"
The girl nodded, "I dreamt that I was playing in the woods, when I came upon a cute little cabin, and above the door read a sign 'Be bold be bold.' "
"Surely it is not so." Mr.Hobbs replied
"Then when I went into the house I saw another door leading to the parlor." She continued, ignoring his interruption, "This door had a sign that said, 'be bold be bold, but not too bold.' "
"But surely it is not and cannot be so!"
"I went into the parlor and saw these pretty double doors and a sign that read, 'be bold be bold, but not too bold, or your hearts blood will run cold.' I opened these doors and found 3 vats filled with blood, hair, skin and bones. Then I saw you, Mr.Hobbs, dragging a lady by her hair. When she tried to resist you by grabbing the railing, you sliced off the poor woman's hand."
"But surely it is not so, cannot be so and will never in any amount of time be so!" Mr.Hobbs shrieked, standing up and walking towards the girl. Her four brothers quickly rose and stood around her, keeping the man away but still allowing her to look at and speak to him. She sat rather calmly in her chair, and continued unflinchingly, "Oh but it is so. And it wasn't a dream... as you can plainly see." She smiled spitefully as she pulled the hand out of her cloak's pocket and showing it to the five men. A look of horror spread across Mr.Hobb's face as the four brothers pulled him out to the yard. And there they killed him, but I cannot tell you how, or your heart's blood will run cold.
