Once I spoke the name
Of a noble warrior knight
Once I looked upon the face
Of a noble, honest man

The days I knew ended that night
The life I had changed that morning

Once I knew a warrior bold
Powerful, wise in his legacy
Yet unspoken, untold
of his bravery

What happened to my warrior lord?
Where did he go that bright morning?

I once watched a warrior die
Noble, graceful, bravely
His heart wrenched by a blade
His blood bright upon the cold stones

And on that day, I died alongside him
On that day I was reborn anew.

Once a warrior emerged from a holy light
And I emerged at his side.
I once gazed into his eyes, his smile
And knew that never again...

Never again would I feel the pain of loss
But never again would our ways part

... you went on a journey long ago
That's what they said.
But one day, you would come back for me again
And love me forevermore.

And I knew in my heart
I could hold you to that promise
