Hercules killed Nessus because Nessus tried to rape Hercules' wife Deianeira as Hercules crossed the river. Nessus got his revenge by tricking Deianeira into giving Hercules a shirt dipped in his poisoned blood. This lead to the death of Hercules. - Date: 07/15/2008
