• Christmas joy comes and goes
    But it's a feeling I always know
    Of warmth and comfort
    When I am home
Home being a place I belong
Where the family gathers and we all come
    From here and there
With love and gifts we share

Some may think it's not fair
That I have a loving family that cares
But all is not what it seems you see
    For underneath the christmas tree
There are not yet any gifts for me

I count the days til it arrives
When Santa comes with gifts by his side
On his sleigh he will fly
Dropping off gifts to boys and girls
    Around the world
    That are good and pure

But wish they were wide awake
To see Santa pull up in his sleigh
    They would peek and peer
Just to see a little bit of his sled

But if they do I am afraid
Santa may not stop for them that day
Instead there will be coal in their stockings
    And sadness in their hearts

For they could not part with their curosity
    That weighs at their hearts
On christmas eve when Santa comes
    Make sure your in bed
    Or ol' Saint Nick
    Won't stop in town
