A whistle blows outside my home
The ground is covered in soft white foam
I sit alone near the fireplace
Waiting for you to light up my face
But you’re out there…alone you roam
You cut a tree for me to light
So all our hearts can shine so bright
The family is here…now gather up
Stuff ourselves till we’ve had enough
Lets all carol into the night
Hold my hand and sing a song
Make sweet, dear, make it long
Sing about a waterfall
Into my dreams then you can call
No, there isn’t anything wrong
Quiet souls gather ‘round
Spirits roaming…comfort found
Leave out the cookies and the milk
Hang the socks made out of silk
He’ll leave the presents on the ground
Now go to sleep everyone
Today was joyful and really fun
Down the chimney he will come
Bag of presents…he’ll leave some
So we’ll all awake as will the sun

- I like it but I think you have to work on the third verse a bit more, also, work on the counting of syllables so it has the same amount each line, but other than that, rhymes good and nice choosing of words! biggrin
