Colors flash across the screen,
The characters laugh and scream.
Entertaining as they are,
Commercials beat by far.
Ridiculous thirty seconds worth
Portraying perfect families farce.
Happy moms and dads
Sisters, brothers, never had
Such elated times together
Than in television forever.
Such a laugh
Deserves a slap
To the knees.
For you see
This fantasy
Cannot be.
Hurray!

Description:
This may not be the most optimistic poem in the world, but I find it very realistic without laying on too much drama or anything like that. It is one of my favorites that I've made and it holds meaning to me, I hope it does the same for you.
