    Torn papers are strewn across the floor
    Trains, dolls and pets shout

    Twinkling lights hang icy from roofs
    Sapphire orbs on glowing green
    A deep sky of shortened days
    Morning, evening and night waiting

    Lakes freeze so we put on our blades
    Little Robby plays out in snow
    Santa’s sleigh with bells jingling
    Lights, cards and ornaments depict
