A flake
Coming down like dancing innocence
Laughter from all ages
Music to my ears and food for my soul
The world isn't always happy
But most are
around the joyous time called Winter.
Presents are unwrapped
The children excited
The elders happy
To see one another enjoying special days
Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa
All different but celebrated and appreciated by everyone.
The tree is lit
The stockings are hung
There isn't a frown around for miles
And yet there is sadness
To this great gladness
That my friends aren't here to enjoy
So I say to all of you
Enjoy what you have
You have a home and family
And there's no reason to be sad
For the some that are blue about their families
Look inside
and see the joy all around
