He'll need such a skill if he wants to become King of the Pirates, but what he was most values about this new technique is the extreme speed and strength it gives him so he can better protect his nakama (crewmates/friends). He treasures his nakama even more so than his dreams or the memorial of the straw hat on his head.

- I'm pretty disappointed with the Luffys I've seen lately, especially Gear Second Luffys, and my goal here is to show you guys how I think it should be done. I'm a huge One Piece fan and it honestly nicks me in the gut when I see such lousy avis of an awesome main character. I'm wearing the straw hat because, even though it is not on Luffy's head in the ref image, it's his trademark. Like I said, my goal is just show people how I think it should be done, but if you 5 me that'd be great!!
