Clara had awoken when she heard rustling coming from the living room. Her nutcracker held in her arms, she lit a candle and searched the room. As she approached the Christmas tree, a swarm of mice surrounded her. Hearing her cries of help, the once still Nutcracker sprang to life, turning into a prince to save his fair maiden.
