- Description: The Stephen King novel 'Rose Madder' details the story of an abused woman escaping a torturous relationship by finding her own inner strength. It holds deep meaning for me. At the center of the story is a painting of a woman in a rose madder chiton looking over a ruined temple as dark clouds roll in. This is my dream avatar realized; it is also an attempt to recreate the Rose Madder painting.
