In the manga, Wolfwood is a member of the Eye of Michael, a group of assassins founded by a Plant worshiper. He was trained by Chapel the Evergreen, who also modified him to have enhanced abilities, including the ability to regenerate from injuries using special vials, which make him age faster than normal. He also develops a relationship with Milly Thompson during his travels with Vash and company.
