- Description: Brom's novel The Child Thief gives a much darker spin on the tale of Peter Pan, turning Lost Boys to Devils, pirates to fanatical Flesh Eaters, and Peter himself into a figure both mischevious & frightening. He beckons the friendless children, the runaways, those who have nowhere else to turn, with camaraderie & promises of fun & games in a world with no adults. But if they knew how many children never make it to that magical place, & what becomes of those that do, how many would have followed?
