She is a strong and wise captain who rebels evil Kefka(she used to fight for the emperor), knows the art of rune magic which she has improved this from militar experiments (similar to the infusion of maco energy to Cloud Strife and Soldier in Final Fantasy VII).
Found and somehow rescued by the thief Locke Cole in a dungeon. Celes joins Terra and all heroes of Final Fantasy VI.
