- It leaves good children clothes on the night prior to The Cat in the Hat's visit. When The Cat shows up and spreads his cheer, they thank him by giving him those clothes or else he turns them into "Things." Thing 1 and Thing 2 are his first two victims, bad children forced to funnily frolic forever, never to return to their loving parents. Lesson? Don't be brats. This is beautifully abstract. Congratulations.
