- The point of the Materpeice Skin is to give the Ghost-like appearance. I've never heard of "The Lies of Locke Lamora" before. I tried using scars but the only scars that I thought would go with the theme were covered by the hair, so I didn't see a point in using them. As for the tattoos, I they are too dark in their coloring for the skin, since they most likely wouldn't show up as vibrantly on a ghost as on a human.
