It is destined that she be born when the star at the center of her people's (called Astrios) galaxy dies, releasing all of it's energy and resulting in the end of her kind. The energy that was released then proceeded to suck itself back into it's core where all the stored energy of all the Astrios' form together to make Aleina. She is her people's hopes, dreams, desires, fears, frustrations and loses.
