She was a sunflower
and she was a water lily
though distant from
each other in nature,
they'll always be
apart of the same family.
the water lily is she who stands firm.
from above she can fool those
who think she is simply floating
when in reality,
she is planted in her position
down below the water.
sometimes she opens
blossoming for the universe
accepting everyone with open petals.
sunflower and water lily
similar and different.
but most importantly,
sisters.
