Her fingers bang away on the computer to her friends. Completely not noticing the world changing around her. Without the internet, she moves like robot. It's the only way she can live like she wants to. In her own life. Sure it's somewhat made up but it's who she is. Yesterday she had started talking to a person named runningincircles13579, tho he called himself Ryan. Viccy was at least smart enough not to give her real name out online so just called herself Trish.
It was a Sunday afternoon, still in her pajamas, Viccy found out that she was out of milk. She sighed at the need to go to the market. But nether the less she got changed, out on her shoes and trudged out of her house. She was in robot mode again. Walking to the store is just another thing 'Trish' didn't have to do. But 'Trish' was just made up. So she walked on, until suddenly, she fell. Right into a puddle of mud. Great. Just what I need. She thought. Turning her head to see what had tripped her, she surprised herself by seeing a little man! Staring at her like she was the one that could exist! She shook her head. There was absolutely noway that was possible. But hen she looked again, he was still there! Including his weird green cap and the brown clothes that looked maybe 600 years old! She backed away a bit- father into the puddle. He took a step closer and put out his hand.
"Come on, Miss. You don't want to look like a mud-man now do you?" His voice was elegant. Somewhat like music.
"Thanks" she replied but got up herself, not thinking that he would be able to pull her up. She eyed him a bit.
"Oh you don't have to be scared, Miss. I won't bite" He chuckled some.
"But who are you? What are you."
"My name I shall not give out. But you can call me Ryan." He bowed. "Now what I am is a dwarf."
She couldn't speak. A dwarf, really? And with the name Ryan, it can't the runningincircles13579 can it? She just wanted to run away but her legs wouldn't move.
"And who might you be, Miss?"
She tried to speak and only just barely got the word out of her mouth. "Trish" There was no way he was going to get her real name.
"That's what I wanted to hear!" he said has he took a step closer. "Sorry for making you fall. My mind was wandering a bit. You see, I was tiring to figure out a way to find you and I guess I have! It's something I do uncontrollably sometimes."
"Why me?"
"Well you are the Trish that I've been talking to yes? MicroGirl567?"
Her eyes went wide in awe. Was it really him? Had she really been talking to a dwarf all this time? She nodded.
He punched the air. "Yes!" he started rambling on about how someone said something and how he showed them.
"But what do you need me for?" she interrupted.
He looked at her for a bit. "Ah yes well you see, recently I have found myself lost and can't go home. " She must of had a weird look because he continued. "I was wondering if I could room with you for a bit. I had asked you something about it before and you said that it would be cool if someone like me lived with you."
"BUT I THOUGHT YOU GUYS DIDN'T EXIST!!!" She spoke louder than intended for some people stared at her like she was an old bag lady. She smiled nervously than picked the dwarf up by the back of his collar and carried him behind the bushes to talk.
"So that would be a no. Okay I'll be on my way again" He kinda just started to take a step and disappeared.
She sat there, staring at the bushes for a while.
About who knows how much later, she got up and without even bothering to go get milk, she walked home. She kicked off her shoes, and plopped down onto her bed. She stared at her computer. If he was a dwarf, how many more are there? Something dawned on her. She jumped up and turned on her computer. As quickly as she could she got on A.I.M. Just as she thought.
Runningincircles13579 wasn't there. Not that he wasn't online, but that the username wasn't eve there. When she searched for it in 'Find you friends' It came up with the a sign that read, 'Sorry this username doesn't exist.'. she layed her head back and laughed. When she stopped, she wondered, what would it have been like if she let him stay?
But she did know now that if she hadn't bumped into him, she would still be in her robot state. Now she can relax and actually see the world for once. She thanked him for that.
