She sighed as she plunked her glass upon the table, her hand straying to push hair behind one pointed ear. A noise alerted her and she turned to see a man standing in the center of the bar. His eyes were crimson like her own and they scanned the place with an almost hungry expression on the half of face not covered by a mask. The long hair that cascaded to the middle of his back was whiter than snow against skin much tanner than her own. All that she could see, from his chest to his arms, and even some of his face, was covered in brown tattoos, ones she knew to be demonic.
Those mirror-like eyes had yet to fall on her and somehow she knew he could not know who she was or she would die. Her feeble powers of darkness enveloped her quickly, an illusion giving her eyes as plainly brown as the bar counter in front of her, and taking away her claws, fangs, and the pointed tufts of her ears. The closer an illusion stayed to reality, the easier it was to maintain, and she was grateful for that with her inexperience using dark energy.
The the illusion finished taking hold almost as his eyes fell on her and he walked forward, his stride graceful. Namea sensed the aura around him and nearly fell over, his age and power unlike anything she'd ever felt. Although she assumed many demons had such, she'd never been so close to such a powerful specimen of one. She looked down demurly as he approached, his eyes, so like her own, scanning her.
"Hello miss, are you the owner of this establishment, to be here so...very late...." He took in her empy glass and his nose wrinkled in disgust. Her mind snarled at him as she felt her cheeks colouring in response to his obvious disdain of her drinking.
{Owner, no, but i work here sir, may I help you?}She made her mindvoice airy, and the illusion made it seem that she spoke aloud,et him think her a silly tavern wench drunk on her off time then.
"Im looking for two who have eyes like my own." he answered. "a man and a woman, they would look slightly younger than myself, and both have hair blacker than ebony, like your own. More, I could not tell you, I have never met them."
She looked up as if considering for a moment. {Never seen anyone like that here... oh plenty of red eyes as such, it is quite a gathering place for all sorts of dark creatures, but none that give me the chills as those you describe surely would!}
He sighed regretfully. "Chill and destroy you they would my dear maiden, killers both they are, though neither could hope to stand against me. Good evening, miss." With that he glided gracefully to the door, dissapearing into black mist as he did so.
Namea slid to the floor behind the bar, trembling, her slitted pupils tiny as she refilled her glass with untrustworthy hands, downing the liquid fire to stabilize her stomach. {That..was..my father....and...he wants me dead..}Affirming that in her mind simply made her hold herself in a terrified stupor, and for once, she looked forward to the dawn and sunlight, for this night was just too cold and dark for her comfort.
