It was raining when I ran away from home. The darkness of the night is almost unbearable. The trees were creaking while straining against the wind. Tears were falling from my face. My body was numb.
*** *** *** *** ***
There where no street lights ahead or behind me. I was running as if something was chasing me, yet I was all alone. Being alone didn’t matter to me, I was always alone. My mother is dead, my father’s in jail for killing an innocent man, leaving me with a foster mom and baby brother.
As I thought of death my body cringed. Am I going to die? I thought to myself. I couldn’t help but think negatively. I’ve been missing for three days now. Three whole days with neither food nor water.
I finally start to slow down. As I look ahead, I see a bright street light and a figure of a man. I ran behind a tree and took a small peek back toward the light. The man was gone. “Hello there.” A man whispers softly in my ear. I felt his hot breath on the back of my neck. I whimpered quietly and slowly turned around. My feet making a loud noise in the mud made me a little more nervous. I hadn’t heard him approach me, which rung a thousand bells in my head, how the hell did he get from there to here without making a single noise in this mud? I look down at my muddy shoes and notice a pair of clean sneakers in front of me. I then felt a warm hand on my arm. As scared, shaky thoughts popped in my head I thought to myself, so this is how I’m going to die…a simple rape and murder?! I squirmed a little trying to hold back the scream that was urging its way through my lips. I was frightened.
“I said hello.” The man whispered. “Uh... hello” I replied shakily. “Why don’t you look at me?” he says, as he put another hand on my arm. “yes.” I say as quiet as I could. “Okay…” he mutters under his breath. He lets go of one arm and puts his warm hand under my chin and whispers something I could barley understand
I slowly lift my head. First I see black pants that kind of looked professional. Then I look at his shirt it was black also, but it had a red smiley on it. “That’s fancy.” I mutter quietly and sarcastically. The man snickered. Finally I got to his face. “LET GO!” I screamed and pushed his hands off of me.
His face was so beautiful! His lips, his black flowing silk hair, but…his eyes! His eyes were red! I couldn’t help the scream of terror, I was terrified. His beautiful hair flew in front of his face like feathers in the wind as I pushed him away, so beautiful. “Please wait.” He whispered softly in a velvet-like tone
