The Tale of The Wandering Ghost
It was a warm summer night. The children just gathered around the big campfire. Here at ‘Camp Halloway’ it’s a big tradition for the leaders to tell there scary story. That night it was Nicky’s turn. Nicky was the leader of the ‘Red Feathers’ group. A group of 4 young girls and 4 young boys. He was holding a very old necklace, a locket. “This locket belonged to my grandmother, you will understand later why I brought it.” He looked at all the children around the campfire. “My story is about a girl, not older then 18.” He started the story with a low voice. “The legend tells that this girl ones was murdered. But never left earth. Her spirit was doomed to wander around forever, in the forest right behind us.” He waits a second to look around the group. As he finally starts with the story. “Two children, Aimee and Darian, where brother and sister. As in every family they sometimes don’t get along. Darian was a 13 year old boy that loved to tease and playing tricks on his 1 year younger sister. Aimee hated it when her brother teased her. One day there parents took them on a camping trip, they where to thrilled by the idea to sleep in a tent.” Nicky stopped again just for a second, but the children where so exited to here the story. “Don’t stop Nicky.” Anna wanted to hear the rest of the story. “Ok ok.” Nicky waited a little longer to really get the group into the haunting feeling. “Mom can Aimee and I walk through the campsite? Darian was so exited that he was almost jumping, he really wanted to see the campsite. Aimee was a little scared, it was a very big campsite. What if we get lost? She asked her brother. Darian started to laugh. Don’t be such a scardy cat. He kept laughing. When there mother approved for them to look around they went into the forest. While they there playing a game, a girl appeared out of no where. She looked older then Aimee and Darian. Don’t go to far little ones, its not save back there. After she warned them she disappeared. Aimee started to scream. Was that a g.. g.. ghost? Darian looked at his little sister, Aimee could see in his eyes that he was scared too. After they realised what they just saw they ran back to the tent, but decided not to tell there parents.” Nicky stopped again just to tease the group. “Don’t stop Nicky.” Timmy said. “When will we find out about that locket Nicky?” Charita asked. “Soon sweety, soon.” Nicky spoke with a very scary voice. “The day after they saw they ghost Aimee and Darian got very curios, they wanted to know why she was there. They went back to the spot where they saw her. Aimee looked around. What is that?? Aimee found a locket on the floor. She opened it, in the locket where 2 pictures. A girl and a boy. Aimee looked very closely at the picture of the girl. That’s her, the ghost! Aimee showed her brother the picture. Darian took the locket and found an inscription on the back. ‘To my forever love.’ This must be hers. Darian wanted to know who the boy on the other picture was. You found it, you found my locket! The girl appeared again. Now my soul is finally free now that I have my locket again, thank you very much. Darian handed the locker to her. The girl vanished forever, finally in peace.” “The End.” Nicky looked at the children. “Wow awesome story.” Dianda and Fiona where very happy with that story. “Time to go to bed now.” The children went to there bungolow’s.
