• Chapter 1

There this beautiful being was, standing just before me. I felt like nothing compared to him. He was everything you would have dreamed of a male to be, yet also something beyond that. There was him, the majestic, beautiful one, and there was me, the one in the blue hood with the blonde wispy pigtails poking out. But you must be wondering what I am talking about by now. Let me tell you my...well, our story of how this came to be. It was cold in the winter, and even colder in the South Pole. I was shivering and looking for a place to stay or a person to keep me company since I was already out there in the bitter snow. You see, I found out my parents weren't really my parents, and that I was adopted. I lived here in the Polar before that. I wanted to discover. As strange as it seems, I walked. I ran away from home and began my own adventure, surviving only on berry and chocolate chip granola bars and 6 gallons of water. It was a long struggle, but here I was, working my way up to a gigantic hill, searching for...well, I wasn't sure what I was searching for. But it certaintly was something. I could feel it in my already weakend bones. Anyways, I was walking up this hill, my face red from the wind, my hands numb and dry from the cold. I was suffering, and hunched over. That's when I saw this boy, a beautiful one, too, standing at the very top of the hill. Later on as I walked I found there was a small igloo, and the boy next to it was wearing the same thing as me. A blue hood. I wondered how he could have this, seeing as my own jacket was passed down to me from my real parents. Yet, there were bigger things to wonder, so I walked to the top. "You must be her." The boy looked about 18, just a year older than I.
I gave him a puzzled look. "Emily." he said, hugging me close.
