• Stand By Me!

Bushido is the code all samurais live by, yet I choose not to. The sword I wield is stained of my father¡¯s blood and my mother¡¯s love and the partial pieces of my broken heart. I live by my own code: do as the way of the world. Knowing this would meant hat the demo within me would soon break the seals of cursed soul. The demon of blood, Sanshi Orashkae.

    -þ@þQ¨æ¹Ï, blood demon-

It¡¯s been a hundred years and I¡¯ve finally woken up from a deep sleep¡

¡°Kiodoshi¡the sun is dark, are you awake?¡± I opened my eyes and sat up. My vision was cortile and blurry yet I noticed Renshi unwrapping the bandages around my body.

¡°It¡¯s been a hundred years since I¡¯ve seen you Renshi and you¡¯ve grown old and brittle.¡± I responded as I rubbed my eyes.

¡°Yes I have but you have remained young and stubborn like a mule. Your body is very strong and I¡¯m proud to say that you¡¯ve healed well but being with you all those years wasn¡¯t exactly sweet.¡± Renshi mumbled.

¡°So I did heal from those wounds. Tell me¡what the hell has been going on while I was sleeping?¡± I asked as Renshi tied the collar of sealing around my neck. I stare at her for I didn¡¯t know what was going on.

¡°After you fell into that deep sleep it was only that the land became dark. Ramaru` took over and became infused with the demon of the poison mist: E`mareshi. Villages have been attack and thousands have been killed. Go outside and see for yourself.¡± Renshi said. I pushed myself up from my bundle of blankets and slowly made my way outside. Everything looked disturbed and everything had changed since the day I came back from battle with life threatening wounds. After a moment I feel to my knees. The evil aura of poison was getting to me but it was affecting my badly, more worse than it did in the war.

¡°Renshi I need you assistance!¡± I exclaimed as a wave of pain hit me.

¡°What¡¯s wrong Kiodoshi?¡± she asked as she picked me up off my knees. I leaned against a tree and took a deep breath.

¡°My body is healed but I remain weak.¡± I stated.

¡° What do you expect if you haven¡¯t eaten in one hundred years?¡± Renshi scowled. I blushed.

¡°You¡¯re right¡but first let me take a nap.¡± I said and made my way back into the temple.

¡°No way¡you just woke up Kiodoshi!¡± she yelled. I soon felt something hit my neck. I turned and saw that it was a rock.

¡°Look you old bat¡I¡¯m weak and I need rest. Give me a break would ya!¡± I snapped and went inside. I lay down on my pile of blankets and closed my eyes. Seriously I needed more information about the world now. I had missed so much.

After I woke from my nap and engorged a hot meal, Renshi took me to the hot spring with her apprentices. The water was steaming as I rested my head on the p***k floor. Maylynn was rubbing my back and lee was braiding my hair.

¡°Kiodoshi relax¡your body is so tense.¡± Said Renshi.

¡°I can¡¯t, knowing that the land is falling apart. My heart feels so empty. It¡¯s as if I can¡¯t breathe.¡± I whispered as some kind of spiritual energy swept over me.

¡°Master Kiodoshi¡in the sky, look!¡± said Lee. I looked in the sky and saw Heclinich diving from about and onto the ground.

¡°Kiodoshi, you¡¯ve finally awoken from your hundred year sleep.¡± I sighed and remembered that he was my enemy.

¡°Don¡¯t push it¡my body isn¡¯t strong enough to fight you.¡± I said to him.

¡°I forget that you¡¯re weak. Be warned that demons will come and attack you while you are weakened. Good riddance Fein.¡± Heclinich disappeared. It all was clear because if I was awake people in the village were getting hurt.

¡°Go back to the village where it is safe. I will spend the night here and stop the demons from coming to the village.¡± I said as I pushed myself on top of the water.

¡°No way, you sense of smell has not come back to you completely.¡± Said Renshi.

¡°Maybe but my body is strong enough to sense the presence of them. I¡¯m not as weak as I look.¡± I growled and lay down on the wavy water. They sighed and went back to the village. I was scared because I really didn¡¯t know what the heel was going on. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Nothing could go wrong.

Blood covered screams awoke me to the beauty of the moonlight. My heart raced horribly as I got up from my watery bed. I pulled on my pants and dove into the forest. The smell of blood was pungent in the air. I was beginning to hear violent screams of tearing agony. I hopped through the trees and landed on the pier in the river. Bodies were everywhere and the ground soaked up blood like water.

¡°No¡¡± I whispered as I ran toward the village. The smell of blood grew stronger as I scurried over bodies in search for Renshi. After a couple of moments I came to a stop at the body of my dear friend.

¡°Kiodoshi leave¡they¡¯re after you.¡± Renshi whispered. I dropped to my knees and began to shed tears.

¡°No Renshi don¡¯t leave me, it¡¯s all my fault, Stones don¡¯t break souls!¡± I cried.

¡° No it¡¯s not¡¡± she whispered. I could hear her heartbeat stop. I stood up and drew my sword. Its¡¯ sanguine blade shimmered magnificently in the moonlight.

¡°NNNNOOOOOOOOOO!¡± I cried out into the heavens. A jolt of energy struck out from the tip of my blade. My eyes crept to the sky and I realized a pack of demons rushing toward me. I jumped back and fell to my knees. Another sword had pierced my body near the heart.

¡°It¡¯s been a while, Kiodoshi.¡± The world became cold all around me. My heart was jumping aroung in my body as the sword slid clean out of my chest.

¡°What do you want from me?¡± I asked as blood trickled down my chest. I stood up with my sword as support.

¡°You don¡¯t remember me¡of course, 100 years of sleep and you loose partial pieces of your memory. Heclinich told me that you were still at recovery for your strength. Now it seem that I, The great Sanshae, will just have to put you out of your misery.¡± The sky blurred out as blood trickled down my shoulder. I acted quickly and whipped my sword behind me, thrusting it through Sanshae¡¯s side.

¡°You attack well for someone who has been wounded twice!¡± He chanted.

¡°Bloody Reption!¡± I screamed and a blade of lightning struck every angle of my position. I turned and saw Sanshae lying on the ground with his sword lying next to him.

¡°No¡you can¡¯t be so strong¡spare me!¡± he pleaded. I stared as him and sighed. Too late, your paralyzed but you¡¯ll¡die soon. My strength is gone now but killing you off right now would only mean suicide for me. Goodbye¡Sanshae.¡± I walked off slowly as blood flowed down my body like raindrops. I didn¡¯t want to go to sleep because another hundred years wasn¡¯t worth it. I jumped into the air and landed in the tree. My body was weak and if I went back to the hot spring I¡¯d die or at least go to sleep and die. This was only because the collar of sealing was no longer around my neck.

    Chapter2: Ursula, Village leader.

¡°Kiodoshi¡wake up.¡± I opened my eyes to find Lee sitting on the branch that I lay on. She was crying yet her clothing was soaked with blood.

¡°Lee what happened to the villagers, why in Renshi dead?¡± I asked her.

¡°Not now, you¡¯re bleeding. You¡¯re cold.¡± She softly cried. I sat up and wrapped my arms around my body.

¡°I can heal myself in three days tops but you¡¯ll have t find sunflowers and crush them into oil for me.¡± I said.

    ¡° I can do that¡does it hurt?¡± she asked.

    ¡°Does what hurt?¡± I asked back.

    ¡°Your wounds¡they¡¯re awfully deep.¡± She stuttered.

¡°A lot but not as bas as I expected.¡± I answered.

¡°Well I¡¯m going to get you what you need.¡±

    ¡°Wait take my sword.¡± I said.

¡°Why it won¡¯t serve me any of your demonic powers.¡± Lee sighed.

¡°Take the damn sword, it may not be able to let you use the lightning blade but it will hide my scent of blood and sweat from the demons lurking in the fields.¡± I fussed. She grabbed my sword and slid out of the tree.

¡°Don¡¯t pick a fight with anyone. Just go to sleep.¡± Lee then walked away. I lay there quietly with a knick in my neck. The moon shinned brightly like the sun. I could feel spiritual energy building up inside of me and as it did Sanshi appeared before me.

¡°Wow it¡¯s been years since I¡¯ve come out of you Kiodoshi.¡± He said to me.

¡°I¡¯m not in the mood. Even though you complete me by causing me to be half demon, you sure do some out at the wrong times.¡±

¡°Well I just came out to tell you that you need to heal yourself unless you want both halves dead.¡± He said to me. ¡°You may be the blood demon but right now you¡¯re weak, it¡¯s a give or take situation.¡± Sanshi disappeared and suddenly so did the spiritual pressure of his being disappeared. The smell of my own blood surrounded me as it trickled down my back. Being a blood demon meant that it would take five days for me to bleed to death but I would still have to feast upon others to satisfy my elite hunger and loss of blood. I stared into the distant and saw Lee coming back with a bundle of sunflowers in her arm. She climbed up the tree and sat next to me. I watched her carefully as she slid my sword back in its sheath.
