• ~Chapter 1~
    "We will be landing in Independence, Missouri in a few moments.' announced the flight pilot. I sighed as I snapped back on my extremely tightest belt. 'Ugh. . . I despise this damn thing.' I think bitterly as I suck in my stomach. I must looked as hopeful as I felt because the flight attendant that looks like she's going to cry came over to me. "Urm. . .D-do you n-need h-help, m-miss?" She stumbled like a man with two left feet. I sighed deeply and pointed at the tightly monster on across my stomach. "It's too tight. Can you adjust it?" I ask bluntly. The nervous looking attendant nods and loosens my belt. "H-here you go, miss. . " She mumbled softly. 'Thank god! I can breath!!' The thought celebrated in my head. I smiled slyly at her, "Thank you." As she hobbled away, I sighed again and looked out the window. 'A few minutes before I have to be nice to Isabell.' I think to myself. Isabell was my older sister that left me to defend myself against our alcoholic dad. When we were younger she made a promise to me that we always stick together and when I was old enough, we'll run away from home to find a new life. 'Well I'm 17 and your just now remembering that promise.' I think bitterly. Our dad was a hard on drinker. He'll use to stay out all night and drink then come home just to hit and yell at us. Isabell made that promise but couldn't keep it. She ran away from home when I was 8. Tears played with my eyes as I remember that she didn't even said good bye. The planes roughly touches the grounds as the pilot announced that we were here. 'Great' I think with fake joy as the plane pulled into the gate. As I walk to the blinding sunshine of the busy sidewalk, I heard the voice I been dreading to hear calling my embarrassing nickname. "Kitty! Kitty, Over here!" Isabell called over the loud voice on the sidewalk. 'Oh god!' I think to myself as I try to hide my on coming blush with my hair. I look around and notice a petite lady coming up to me. 'Pfftt. . .She hadn't changed a lot.' I smirk to myself.
    She still had her mocha brown skin, her long wavy hair floated around her like a veil, and her deep blue eyes still sparkled with each step. I sighed as two guys whistled at her. 'Yeah. . .Same old Isabell. . .' I glimpsed at the window and took a look at myself. My very short dark brown hair was sticking up in weird area, my dull brown eyes are duller then normal, and my skin was more like a milk chocolate. With a heavy sigh, I slip on my favorite Hara-Juku hat on. 'Ok. . .Showtime.' I look up and smiled brightly. "Isabell! Oh mi gosh! Isabell, Hey!" I called with purely fake excitement. She hurries up to me and hugs me tightly, squealing. "Oh mi gosh, Kitty!! I missed you sooooo much!" 'You didn't miss me enough to help me escape along time ago. . ' I think sourly as I hugged her back. "I missed you too, bell!" I said as I broke the hug, "So what's been happening with you? You haven't changed at all!" She giggles like little child and stick her tongue at me, "Oh quiet you! But. . .Wow. . It's been forever. . ." She suddenly gets quiet. "I'm sorry that I didn't take you earlier, Kitty." She mumbles so soft that I could barely catched what she said. I smiled and hugged her again. "Oh! It OK! I already forgot and forgive that subject along time ago! Don't worry!" I reassured her. She looks up at me with her signature 'sorry' look then brightens up like a balloon, "Whew! Good! I was so worried that you might be mad at me still but. . .I bet you must be tired! My car is just down here. Let's go!" [//To be continued//}
