• Prologue
A long time ago there was a small kingdom known as Ateliers. This kingdom was ruled by one lone princess named Hazel. She had long waist length black hair and beautiful glowing brown eyes, it was said you could see the stars glaring brightly even during the day. She wasn’t evil or even vain. She had no lust for power either. Hazel was considered ‘The Ruler with the Golden Heart.’ for as long as anyone could remember, there had never been a war or anger amongst people or countries.
One day a dark shadow fell across the land. Then princess Hazel vanished without a trace. No one had seen her for a week when a new ruler appeared. He showed himself before the kingdom of Ateliers and announced himself as the new ruler of the world Knightmare. He rose an army of undead men whom he used to slaughter any who opposed him. Having enslaved half of the human race Knightmare felt invincible.
All the time this was happening a young boy was growing up. This boy was called Rolfersia or Rolf fir short. Upon his sixteenth birthday Rolf was called before the Council of Prophets. There he was shown a symbol of a cross upon his neck. This was taken as a sign he was meant to defeat Knightmare. The Council of Prophets sent Rolf upon a long series of task and quest that took him to years to complete, but that is another story for another time.
On Rolf’s eighteenth birthday he went to fight Knightmare. They fought for weeks. Neither able to do much to the other. They blew away at each other until finally with the last of his energy Rolf cast forth a final spell to send Knightmare to another dimension. Thus forth Rolf died. As Hazel reappeared in the world, she said “Happy Birthday Rolf.” for she had been watching from the world she was at. Then she disappeared once again.
Shortly After Knightmare had disappeared a new race of beings appeared. They were called Dragoons. They were half dragon half human. They were much taller and larger than humans, but seemed quite benevolent. Humans and dragoons lived in peace and harmony for nine hundred and ninety-nine years. The one thousandth year was a young boys sixteenth birthday. A boy named Jack.
